I would argue that they are not jumping to conclusions. They have all the information and they know that they are wrong. The administration are continuing to use Jewish people as a scapegoat to ratchet up fear and repression.

Honestly this is how I'm still going. I taught full time for five years and went back into advocacy work full time this spring. Still teaching a class though and just started a YPAR project with a youth organizing partner. Keeps me grounded and going.

I'd forgive the synagogue members for being rattled by gunshot noises and a man with a rifle outside HH services. That said, the shul has been clear that they're not actually concerned and understand it was a weird coincidence. Because we know this kind of hyperfocus makes us less, not more safe.

Also saying "there's no need for that here" really throws her Gov colleagues under the bus by implying that they do when the whole thing is it is an overreach everywhere. The reason that the National guard shouldn't be federalized is not because our "local and state police work together well."
