Here's my draft for Project 2029
A snippet of the verse from the billy woods "Soft Landing": Free political dissidents from they cages / but leave 'em open / we got lists of names, pages and pages / wouldn't want to waste the space the previous regime gave us"

i cannot believe that after Biden and RBG we are still having discussions about whether 80-year-olds should hold public office. they shouldn't. flat out.

People are still doing “there aren’t going to be midterms” posts as we see these people struggle to handle a guy in a frog costume

That (NPR!) journalists think AI is a creative engine that can finesse iconic productions is not just context for the crap quality of writing in media but alarmingly the inability among a class of supposedly professional scrutinizers to distinguish between art and slop, good and bad, truth and lie

David Simon, creator of ‘The Wire’, being interviewed by Ari Shapiro (NPR)
SHAPIRO: OK, so you've spent your career creating television without Al, and I could imagine today you thinking, boy, I wish I had had that tool to solve those thorny problems...
SIMON: What?
SHAPIRO: ...Or saying...
SIMON: You imagine that?
SHAPIRO: ...Boy, if that had existed, it would have screwed me over.
SIMON: I don't think Al can remotely challenge what writers do at a fundamentally creative level.
SHAPIRO: But if you're trying to transition from scene five to scene six, and you're stuck with that transition, you could imagine plugging that portion of the script into an Al and say, give me 10 ideas for how to transition this.
SIMON: I'd rather put a gun in my mouth.

Zelda Williams urges fans to stop sending AI videos of her father, Robin Williams:

“Please, just stop sending me AI videos of Dad. Stop believing I wanna see it or that I’ll understand, I don’t and I won’t. If you’re just trying to troll me, I’ve seen way worse, I’ll restrict and move on.”

all discourse aside, there is one machine with consciousness. it's printers. they are alive and conscious and they hate you and they'd take your arm clean off if you let them. never trust a printer.

Love to get sick before a big trip. Nothing like traveling for 12 hours (minimum, assuming no delays) while also feeling like my throat is made of gravel. It’s the best!

Sora is not the real problem here. The real problem is that in 12, at most 24 months, there will be a Sora clone from Tencent or Alibaba that is just as good and can be run by anybody with a 5099, at which point everyone in society needs to rapidly agree to treat all digital video as fake, period.

Honestly I cannot begrudge the parents. I cannot imagine the kind of pain they must live with on a daily basis, and the emotional fortitude it takes to dedicate yourself to a cause like that is immense. But the person who built a model of a dead child should have said “no, we shouldn’t make this”

Resurrection, as in using this technology to create a simulacrum of the deceased. I think that one day soon somebody is going to run a business where you can zoom with your late spouse. In fact this has already kind of happened with one of the Parkland victims www.axios.com/local/miami/...

I think a real problem in this world is a lack of posting bushido. You can go to war with the mods, with the big accounts, hell with the government itself on X the Everything Site, sometimes it is the honorable thing to do. But you should have your death poem written.

how is it that the posts that get traction always have obvious typos

One thing that especially sticks in my mind is that you don't even need to be far sighted to see this. You cannot build this shit without knowing that and just not caring. And I also don't think you can untangle it from the reaction against MeToo.
dangcoolgalaxy.bsky.social
I do not how you even deal with this other than social norms of a strength that we have spent the last 10 years proving we can't hold onto. How are you gonna stop the most anti-social teenager in the highschool deepfaking every girl in his class into the most obscene situations he can imagine?

Really snapped at a family member recently when he asserted that he simply wouldn't care if someone used his image to create a humiliating video of him having sex with a horse. It's pretty indicative of me to where all this shit is going, which is total normalization.
