Yeah like, I find myself being conservative as I:
- listen to people who know better than me and try to learn from them (people's experiences with race, gender, etc) and don't try to force them to adhere to my beliefs
- expect honoring of words and promises, and especially the more power you have

It’s funny—I find myself becoming more conservative as I age. By which I mean I believe much more in social duty and in shame, and on a day like today I can’t remember the last time I saw a Republican demonstrate behavior that showed an understanding of either

across the board, this week has felt something like watching a boxing match a few rounds in where one fighter starts flagging and stumbling and the other one just starts pounding him, even if there are several rounds to go.
MOULTON: If you're like Trump & took advantage of girls w/Epstein-

SCARBOROUGH: We don't have evidence he took advantage of girls w/Epstein

M: Common sense be damned

S: Is he in the files?

M: Obviously

S: You have absolutely no evidence he took advantage of girls

M: I think it's pretty obvious

I mean I've been saying for a long time that Plater is an experiment to see if you can build a campaign around a fake candidate
And there it is. Platner mainly is this pet project for this consultant group, finally their own candidate to test their theory and they were so eager to test it (and so arrogant in believing nothing will stop them) that they overlooked all the downsides.

I realized now that its possible that "blue collar" in US cultural imagination is similar to things in foreign media where characters wear "traditionalist" clothing that amalgamates together different periods of time into a homogeneous aesthetic. Its now a "traditional costume" in America like
interesting that people are treating his blue collar aesthetic as equivalent to having a blue collar upbringing

Code Pink voice: Listen the fact is that the Caribbean is part of the U.S. sphere of influence and has been for over a century. Maduro needs to negotiate with Trump to find a solution that respects valid American security concerns .

Everyone thinks they can simply end history, win the final battle, conclude everything. But they can't. History keeps on going.
I think fundamentally the problem with post liberal thinkers is that they seem to assume that vanquishing liberalism results in their enemies being converted or defeated and not becoming radicalized into enemies who no longer extend the mercies they once did.
