A broken spy trying to recapture his place in things, a naive engineer finding her strength and redemption, a war hero whose not trying to live up to a purpose that's not even hers...it was wonderfully writen and a great tale. I hope to see more Tau stuff like this instead of just the big names.

I finally finished reading 'Elemental Council' by @noahvannguyen.bsky.social and I got to say I loved it. It reminded me of a scifi version of a Vietnam War drama. Theres so much more to it than that, but thats the short sell. God, those characters will stick with me for a long time.

Predator one and two leaves open this ambiguity re whether Predators are noble warriors, honourable hunters, or basically just an interstellar version of rich arseholes hunting giraffes with a sniper rifle. I feel like Predator: Killer of Killers definitively settles it in favour of the second view.

A funny thing abput being a game dev is that I spend so much time staring at totally broken stuff while working on a game that a lot of the little bugs and problems in publushed games just sort of wash over me. I notice them, they are there, but I just...don't care. Did it crash? No. Good, lets go.

What’s happening in Los Angeles right now is not only morally reprehensible—it’s legally indefensible. This is a sanctuary city, a designation that was democratically voted on and enacted into law by the residents of this city—not by political opportunists grandstanding from a golf course in Florida.

Let’s be clear: being undocumented in the United States is not a criminal offense. It is a civil violation. That means it holds the same legal weight as running a stop sign on a bicycle, setting off a firework after a drink, or selling unlicensed fan merch on Etsy. It is subject to civil penalties—typically a fine—not imprisonment, not detention, and certainly not extrajudicial abduction.

Dragging someone off the street at gunpoint, without a warrant or due process, and forcing them into an unmarked vehicle operated by armed, plainclothed agents is not law enforcement—it is armed kidnapping. And armed kidnapping is a felony—a real one.

So if you’re going to obsess over who is “illegal,” start by looking at the heavily armed individuals violating constitutional protections under the guise of enforcing the law. Because what they’re doing is criminal, not the people they’re targeting.

Table top Killteam already has gameplay that is pretty similar and the ongoing narrative team structure had a psuedo base building element to it - it just feels like a natural fit I am surprised it hasn't already been done.

If I could pitch a #Warhammer40k video game right now it would be a #Killteam Xcom-like in the vein of Chaosgate:Daemonhunters. That game is pretty solid, but I want to take it up a step with multiple campaigns focusing on different teams in the same Killzone.

The reason generative AI is so popular with wannabe creatives is best illustrated by something every pro writer has encountered: getting pitched an idea by someone saying "You write it and we'll split the profits!" because they think the idea is what has value, not the writing. The opposite is true.

The wild thing to me is that the only people who will want to play this kind of thing are the same people who complain when an artist charges a fair price for their work. The "all you're doing is doodling, my 5 year old can do that" crowd isn't gonna make you any money.

It's #Warhammer40k day today. Doing a big threeway battle - The #TauEmpire efforts to stop a #Tyranid splinterfl fleet have roused the forces of a #Necron tomb world from their slumber.

We are using some house rules to keep this threeway battle intersting, excited to see how it goes!
