Mother reported him missing a week ago—turns out ICE had him detained the whole time.

1. Last night, 26 Senate Dems helped pass a NDAA containing a military trans sports and surgery ban and dropped demands for protections against US troop deployments in the bill.

It is the latest in the national fight over must-pass bills during the shutdown.

I haven't except just taking the seed heads and spreading them in different areas. But I have had a fair number volunteer in new areas. Even coming up in areas with a lot of existing plants. I was thinking about creating some bare ground areas to seed this fall and see if they come up.

Fall is here and the nights are getting cold. And while pollinators are preparing for winter, having some late flowers can help them survive the cold. Here in western WA, our native Douglas asters still have some flowers. I'm slowly planting more for late season flowers to support our pollinators. 🌱

Not a lot of flowers left, but they are among the last native flowers in our area. They have small daisy like lavender flowers with yellow centers. They start blooming in mid-summer and keep going into October. In this picture older blossoms have turned to small seed heads.

I'm drained. All day work training, plus an early morning site visit before it. The training was good, but right at the end, there were some comments that didn't sit well with me as an Autistic person. Honestly, not uncommon in the workplace. Still a lot of work to be done. But tonight I rest...

I hate socks and the feel of them on my feet. So I always wear sandals when I can. But my work and my interests involve a lot of outdoor tasks where boots are a necessity. So to handle my Autistic sensory needs, I always keep a pair of office sandals in my work truck for office time. Helps me a lot!

A pair of office sandals. They are great and designed so the foot is mostly covered but with a lot of air flow.

My work boots. Just a normal pair of hiking boots.
