Finland published the new food / nutrition recommendations last week. The guidance is mostly based on health research evidence but now it includes also environmental consideration. The changes from the previous ones: more potato, less (processed) meat. @sykefi.bsky.social @ruokavirasto.bsky.social

What is the global GHG mitigation potential in 2035? A very relevant question for the upcoming round of NDCs. We analysed it for the 2024 UNEP Emissions Gap Report (Ch. 6).
Conclusion: the mitigation potential is more than enough to bridge the 2035 emissions gap.
