He was always going to do this. Chicagoans have not rioted, so the administration just lied and said we have. We have not attacked ICE agents, so they just lied and said we did. There was no chaos here, so they created chaotic scenes by attacking people and filmed that shit.

Y'all who keep lecturing protesters to "not give them an excuse" need to pause for a minute. Imagine yourself telling a DV victim, "Be sure not to mouth off or make any mistakes so he won't hit you. Don't give him an excuse! It's what he wants!" That's what you fools sound like.

Weaponized gratitude is a key tool in the abuser's toolkit. The goal is to convince the victim that they owe the abuser so much, they should feel guilty for wanting to complain.

I wish more people understood that them not liking what I say, or how I say it, doesn’t make me wrong. Sometimes I am wrong. More often than I want to be, for sure. But when I’m not, their strong preference for a different outcome won’t change that fact.

Also a pretty good example of something the right does consistently better than the left which is make common cause with people they otherwise disagree with to accomplish a specific purpose. Don’t get me wrong, effective rhetorical move on the part of whoever’s writing those talking points cause framing it as Christian persecution is a great way to exploit lack of religious literacy & distract from the fact that the shooter was as far as we can tell yet another conservative white male.

There’s no intellectually honest argument to be made that Mormonism is not a part of Christianity but the vast majority of rightwing evangelicals believe Mormons are not only not Christians but actively part of a hellbound satanic cult & I wonder if Donald Trump knows that because I kind of doubt it

I’m so mad that I am *quite literally* seven houses away from being able to vote for Aftyn Behn but I need everyone seven houses to the west of me to GET OUT FOR THIS ONE and vote for Aftyn for TN-07. Tennessee was a swing state during my lifetime and they want you to forget that.
