No Kings is Hamas is quite a claim to make. I mean, we knew this was coming, but it’s still shocking to hear.

Mike Johnson: "We're so angry about it. I mean, I'm a very patient guy, but I've had it with these people. The theory we have right now -- they have a hate America rally that's scheduled for October 18 on the National Mall. It's the pro-Hamas wing and antifa people ... "

Idaho is about to become America’s Middle East. No biggie, just surprised Republicans are responsible.

ICE left David, a 17-year-old boy, stranded on the side of Interstate 20 after pulling over his immigrant father, Hector, in Mississippi.

David began running in the scorching sun after the car and watched as it disappeared from sight—soon headed to a Louisiana ICE prison.

Here's their story.

If you believe things like this, you're a piece of shit. If you're a columnist for the New York Times, and you choose to platform this, you're a piece of shit. And, the New York Times is shit. It's just fucking shit.

Counterpoint:

You absolutely do not have to hand it to enslavers
Wilson: Now, one of the things I want to do is say: I’m really glad that slavery’s gone, and good riddance. And I want to say that the Southern slave owner, who read the books of Ephesians and Colossians and 1 Timothy and treated his slaves decently, remembering that he had a master in heaven who he studiously tried to obey — what Paul said slave owners were supposed to do — I would say he was not an orc, and he is part of the reason why slavery ended. In other words, I would say he’s a good guy.

I had a lot of convos with people who said they were sympathetic, but Defund the Police was a "bad slogan". I told them it wasn't a slogan. It was an answer. It was an answer to the constant question "what can we do to actually lower crime and make our neighborhood's safer?"

Anyway. Here we are.

I like how the news will be like “while the President claiming Portland was ruled by a giant skeleton named Mr Nibbles is not strictly true, it does speak to the anxiety of many Americans”

Q: Rescission are something Dems have said is a reason for a lack of trust. What rescissions are you discussing?

JOHNSON: We have more than $37t in debt. We're doing everything we can to get us back to sound fiscal responsibility. What does that include? A rescission package is part of our process

Independent C-SPAN caller to Rep. Mark Alford: "You're taking credit for $50b that you just gave to the hospital industry. That's after you took away $150b. You don't take credit for just giving back a little bit of money after taking away so much. So quit lying. It just makes you look horrible."

3. Growing food is no more noble a profession than providing child care. But when I say that we should subsidize child care more you tell me to shut up. But we're supposed to buy bushels of corn so some rich family in Idaho can vote to have their own employees deported?🤡

Make it make sense.

"Protect and Serve." Because we couldn't fit "The system is about numbers, and it's so much easier to trick children into committing victimless crimes than to stop actual fucking crime," on the doors of our cars.

Reading the memos sent by well meaning officials of the Freedmen’s Bureau, in the early years following the Civil War, is like listening to a pizza buffet full of libertarians fight over the differences between the Austrian and Monetarist schools. 2/2

The entire history of relations between black and white in this country, mostly, but not exclusively in the South, demonstrates the essential idiocy of the idea that humans are primarily economically rational actors. 1/2

Systems designed to achieve white supremacist goals will continue to accomplish those purposes. Even if the machine were no longer operated by people who consciously want white supremacy.
At least that's the theory. Since it appears we have yet to achieve the second part, perhaps we'll never know.

They make up lies about paid agitators doing violence, and attach them to the name of a prominent Jewish person. This is antisemitism, and it infects every part of the GOP.

Sen. Roger Marshall: "October 18 is when the protest gets here. This will be a Soros paid-for protest for his professional protesters. The agitators show up. We'll have to get the National Guard out. Hopefully it will be peaceful. I doubt it."

honestly fu** you if you think gazans are only allowed to ask for help to cover their very basic necessities when they’re starving or being killed, calling a gazan a grifter for trying to secure her education proves that you don’t see gazans as humans who deserve to live equally.

Thiessen having a good chuckle about his fired liberal colleagues - some of whom he worked with for 15 years - is a good reminder that token conservatives at mainstream news outlets are/were there to destroy them, not to contribute to them.
