Okay so I’m not a strategist and I’m trying to not PLAY strategist very much but if I can just say: I think this should be a model for Dems all over the country, even in conservative areas

Not in literal content but in sentiment. “Trans people are vulnerable and targeted and that’s wrong”

UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 4: Sylvia Rivera

In the 1970s, queer New Yorkers had been pushed to the margins of NYC. Our trans neighbors faced immense cruelty. But in Sylvia Rivera, they found a champion.

As we combat Trump’s politics of darkness, her legacy can light the path forward.

the inability to view any stand you personally disagree with as motivated by anything except clout chasing is a true disease of the soul and the fact the sufferers walk around like asymptomatic carriers openly saying things like this and thinking they have been insightful is part of the pathology

her advocacy for Palestinians doesn't bother me nearly as much as she is so desperately doing all this as an actual act of transparent virtue signaling, to fill the absence she has in depth of character

Unicorns are the new renewable fuel source but solar panel installers must be at the heart of how they’re used.

🧠 AI is the new industrial revolution—but workers must be at the heart of how it's used.
In my piece for @huffpost.co.uk, I set out why the Government’s plans must empower working people, not just big tech.
Read it here ⬇️
'AI May Be The New Industrial Revolution – But We Must Still Put Workers First'
Writing for HuffPost UK, Labour's Chris Bloore said working people must still have a say in how the technology is used.

This workshop will initiate with people from Mexico, Latin America and Europe to strengthen the ties of stop motion and collaboration and, in exchange, education will be provided for free for one Mexican / Latinamerican student for the first ten years also.

Guillermo del Toro, Netflix, and Gobelins have teamed to open a stop-motion studio in Paris. The endeavor shares a kindred spirit with Mexico's El Taller del Chucho, also co-founded by del Toro, and will honor stop-motion legend Mark Gustafson.

I was at a karaoke night where someone sang the "True Blood" theme song and the spontaneous lustful dance party that broke out among women throughout the crowd was a sight to behold.

The hip swaying, girlfriends grinding on each other. It was a Pavlovian erotic response.

I'm cynical as hell and I'm always going to want action to match words, but man. It's been a long time since I heard anyone in this town even say the words.

A digital artwork of Ipomoea inspired by Alphonse Mucha's "The dance." Ipomoea's horns are lapped in flames, while a fire wraps their left arm and their right harm in shining bright. They are holding onto their dresses, which edges scatter into starlight. Her hair is also spread, sparkling. The frame is a thin crescent moon around Ipomoea, with stars etched into it.

Me: I strongly believe these questions are an insult to life itself

Canadians: The federal government is seeking public input on how AI should be developed and used in business, research, and the military.

I wonder how many articles like this we need before, I dunno, anyone with any power does anything at all. These dipshits are already set to devastate the economy and every day we let this grift continue we only sink deeper…

It's pretty wild to me that investigators have uncovered that anti-trans campaigns are largely funded by the fossil fuel industry, and that the presumed motivations are pretty directly to redirect the public conversation away from climate change... and that this isn't bigger news.

We are not trivialising LLMs.

Copyright theft is not trivial.

Environmental damage is not trivial.

Unreliability is not trivial.

Risk to human cognition is not trivial.

Ignoring consent when shoving it into every fucking thing while making us pay our hard-earned money for it is not trivial.

I don’t know who needs to hear this but the CDC is being eviscerated right now. America is not going to have any kind of outbreak response capacity after tonight. Americans’ health data is no longer secure. Say goodbye to federal public health in any capacity. It’s a disaster. We won’t recover.
