Remembering when Chris Rufo insisted that Disney was a thoroughly corrupt institution because it had a small number of employees arrested on CSAM and sex trafficking charges and I replied, well, let's use that standard for Republicans, and he blocked me before I could finish the thread.

A Texas megachurch pastor and GOP leader has been arrested for crimes against children. Not Robert Morris, a different one. Not Josiah Anthony, a different one. Not Luke Cunningham, a different one. Not Tony Evans, a different one. Not Scott Crenshaw, a different one. Not Steve Lawson, a different o

I usually find Serwer's writing to be smart and logical. But for this to be true in this case, one would have to agree that evil does not exist.

There’s an essay to be written about how maga patriotism is just shitty fandom. Anyone who follows sports knows fans like this, it’s always the ref’s fault, the other team doesn’t exist, there’s some plot/player/coach holding the team back otherwise they’d always win easy bsky.app/profile/atru...

If ICE agents are proud of what they're doing, then why do they cover their faces like cowards, refuse to identify themselves, and hide behind anonymity?

ICE admits that up to 50% of arrests in its Chicago raids are "collateral.” These aren't statistics. They are parents taken from their children, neighbors taken from our communities. When does a "collateral" U.S. citizen child's trauma matter? This isn't law enforcement; it's a campaign of terror.

This video of Chicagoans intervening to save a man from being abducted off the streets by ICE is making the rounds on Instagram.

Community action works.

Bari Weiss would've of course worked for CBS without buying out her website, but the oligarch class wants to reward her for her years of service to their cause including her time as an infiltrator destroying the New York Times from the inside.

For me, nothing's changed from preseason. We're the favorites because we have a complete squad and they don't. We share a similar ceiling with Liverpool, but have a higher (maybe significantly) floor. We've already had injuries and it hardly affects us. We've added more players with less disruption.
gstew.bsky.social
Arsenal should always have been league favorites, even when we were 5 points behind. We have the most complete squad, the most stable squad and we're best situated to fight on all fronts.

No way was Liverpool going to go another season without injuries. Missing out on Guehi was huge.

Arsenal from five points behind Liverpool to a point clear in two weeks.

Mixed feelings. I bet on a draw before the match.

I think I'm OK losing the $75.

CHELSEA!!!!! hahahahahaha

That sounds about right. Rarely see over 1.5 XG in a half, so I was estimating downwards.

That Eze chance looked easy for players of any level. When you see what these players can consistently do with a ball, it is always surprising to see misses like that. Maybe it just looks slower/easier on TV.
gstew.bsky.social
I'm presuming our first half XG was around 1.3-1.5. Another 15 shots and we should be able to extend this to 3-0.
adam.cannonstats.com
Well it’s all there, just keep pushing and attacking the second is coming!

Gyokeres is getting in good positions in the box. He deserves a goal.

Need an early 2nd half goal and then control with a couple of late goals for 4-0.
legrove.bsky.social
This is one of those games we typically don’t get a second in… then we concede.

Need to make this dominance count today.

Almost certainly a bruised patella. Usually a 3-4 week injury to get back to full fitness. Hurts like a bitch the day after.
gstew.bsky.social
1) Starting three out of Ode, Rice, Zubi & Eze in midfield
2) Rotating fullbacks
3) LW based upon opponent
4) Rotating Gyokeres & Havertz

This is the f**'in way!
legrove.bsky.social
I don’t know why I so strongly believed it was impossible for Odegaard and Eze to exist in the same Arsenal midfield.

Very excited that this is the way.
gstew.bsky.social
If this is wrong, I don't want to be right!

I have to disagree slightly. Evil, not hate, is the real enemy. There's nothing wrong with hating evil.

Is it hard to define and identify evil? No, I don't think so.

“'The fact that we don't have money to pay journalists, but we have money to pay Bari Weiss between $100 and 200 million is indicative of what the Ellisons' true goal here is,' a network correspondent said. 'And it's not journalism.'"

I believe that the two best dribblers in world football are Doku and Désiré Doué. Any defender shutting either of them down must be of the highest quality.

One of the best dribblers in Premier League history? ⚡️

Jeremy Doku means business this season...

In this century there has never been a season where the league winner has achieved fewer than 80 points. In fact, the average total is closer to 90 than 80. Should changes be made to the simulation model that consistently outputs league winning points totals below 80 points?

Manchester City have jumped Liverpool after their not so impressive start to the season. Liverpool are still slightly favored because they have points in the bank but they need to start playing better.

Trossard is so underappreciated among our fanbase. He is one of our three best shooters, he's truly two footed and he usually performs at a very high level. His close control is excellent and he is a good decisionmaker. When he gets criticism, it is quite often ungrounded.
gstew.bsky.social
All the credit? No, as Rice, Merino and Gabriel all played their small roles too.
philcosta.bsky.social
I’m not saying I deserve all the credit, but I started watching in the 80th minute.

Doesn’t matter how we did it, we needed to win against these jobbers and on their patch as well. Enjoy this one - and a very happy birthday to me. 🤝

I’m turning 30 today 🎈 not sure how that’s happened but just wanted to say thanks for all the support, reads, downloads, listens (and abuse) - you’ve helped me achieve my dream of getting to this age … with hair.

Working in football will never get old. Three points today please!
