A happy coincidence that my radio show this weekend includes a track from this @hannahpeel.bsky.social album. The reissue looks gorgeous and an absolute must for anyone who missed it first time around.

A new vinyl… thanks for finding it Lippy Kid!

It sold out a long time ago, and now coming back finally ✨✨✨
Just in case there's anyone who's never had the privilege of owning this by @hannahpeel.bsky.social, I see it's getting a re-release via Peter Gabriel's Real World records.

It's magnificent and, for me, one of the finest releases of the 21st century x

We are sad too! Have been told you can still listen at the live times, so at least it’s something x
in mourning for @hannahpeel.bsky.social and @saramohrpietsch.bsky.social 's Night Tracks now that BBC Sounds has been cut off for us foreign types. It's been the soundtrack to my working day for ages 😪
Thanks
There’s also a lot of super ball (bouncy ball on a stick) drawn across a timp and cymbals for added creepiness 🫣
Watched Ep1 last night - great sound palette. . . But what was that? Bowed timpani? You can't bow a timp . . . bowed cymbal I know well but . . . bowed cymbal on a timp? . . . always loved bowed waterphones . . . Anyway, clearly effective as I lay awake for hours and hours thinking about it!
So good to see this moving to tv! Fun writing the score 🎶

@hannahpeel.bsky.social I'm enjoying your Brass Band programme immensely, especially the round-the-world feature. It's good to hear Brass front and centre on the radio again. You may like to know that the app for Sounds only has four episodes available at any one time, and they are time-limited.
