Maybe far fetched, but could pedestrianized spaces act as anti-ice spaces? They don’t seem to function without their cars, or in crowds. If you create a car-free space, ice would have a hard time kidnapping people in it.

Small win: #CDC privacy office survived the weekend chaos. Big concerns remain about how HHS, Palantir & others may use STLT data. If agencies must share, we recommend the bare minimum—aggregate if possible—and use high caution and good judgement to protect residents against unsanctioned data use.

HHS has eliminated EVERY SINGLE SAFEGUARD FOR DATA PROTECTION AT CDC. Giving data to CDC is no longer safe and puts your residents at risk.

Unless and until all CDC’s data protections are restored you should consider CDC a bad actor.

Also, disability education USED to be a Republican value. Republicans like Dick Thornburgh didn't want people with disabilities to be victims or wards of the state. Educating people with disabilities and ending discrimination would be a path to jobs and to work.

There's already huge issues with schools treating disabled kids illegally. IDEA - the folks who end up enforcing a lot of this - got gutted. Schools can now confidently discriminate against students with disabilities, since consequence won't come unless the kid's family has sue-a-school money.

Another thing regarding mutual aid & who your community is, is a lot of disabled people in particular are very isolated. They're in deep poverty & complete abandonment. Literally. So they hop online to have community. Sometimes it's the only community they have & the only way they can get help.
