Also, I feel like getting beat one-on-one is the least offensive mistake for a player. Sometimes a guy beats you. What else can you do? Missing an assignment in a group setup seems way worse.

“It’s pathetic,” one career ICE official told me, adding that before now, a typical class of 40 recruits had only a couple of candidates fail, because the screening process was more rigorous.
