I watched "Manhattan" and I had two simultaneous thoughts at the end of the movie:

1. This is one of the best movies I've ever seen

2. Woody Allen just used all his artistic talents to justify the fact that he sleeps with underaged girls and I will never watch another Woody Allen movie again.

She was also great in her first role, in Play It Again, Sam. It's one of the few Woody Allen films I can still watch. She was in Manhattan, too, and was excellent, but that film is brrrrrrrrrrr.

One thing that doesn't get talked about when discussing how difficult it is for trans people to secure employment is that once you DO find a job, even somewhere "progressive, affirming", your identity & their knowledge of how hard it would be for you to find something else will be used against you.

Oh yeah, I feel you. When I was writing for The Guardian, I sorta formed this sort of charming freelance sportswriter/rock critic persona and used that while flirting with women. I eventually came to realize it was my Drag King persona.
