Catching up on #CelebrityTraitors. I really never liked the "in plain sight" murders, and it clearly backfired here. Losing an excellent contestant with so much potential because it was done in a rush.

Claudia's cape with "celebrities" in quotation marks is already iconic.

Day 2 of being off with flu and catching up on movies I haven't had the chance to see.

1 hour and 5 minutes in: Is Tár the most boring movie ever made?

That's two people I thought of as friends that I've had to unfollow on Instagram so far for sharing pro-Hamas content on October 7th. Just sickening.

Announcing this on a board where Americans are in the fight of their lives against a fascist takeover may be a pointer....

jameswharrison.bsky.social
Yeah I have no idea what this is referring to?

jameswharrison.bsky.social
Oh dear...I'm off today too 🤒

You don’t actually have to both sides this. The Jewish community in the UK is not the Israeli government. You can just condemn the murder of two British Jews killed in their place of worship and you don’t have to say a single other thing.

It's just a contrast to 2000 where the future seemed bright, they had chickens, and my Mum loved it

jameswharrison.bsky.social
Well tonight it felt like the next fight against fascism. You had the usual well trained white nationalist bros going fully against the queer and brown people who just happened to be enjoying their night, yet wanted a "debate" from them

jameswharrison.bsky.social
Oh my goodness. I'd recommend watching this series of Big Brother to get an understanding of how far things have gone in the discourse.

Such a sad contrast to the show from 25 years ago where it was so optimistic, and open and tolerant.

Today, it's our forward facing time machine.

While also being a Councillor for the party of the PM in office!

That autopsy man took so much glee at the end in saying "I can't rule out he was pushed". Disgusting really.

Thank goodness

Looks like Putin's attempt to bully Moldova has failed. With 90% of votes counted, the pro-European Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) has a 20 point lead over the Russian-funded Patriotic Bloc open.substack.com/pub/arthursn...
Has Russia lost Moldova?
Why the bitterly contested election in a "faraway country, between people of whom we know nothing", matters a lot

That Jay Slater documentary on 4...I know they didn't show the body but I actually didn't need to see the filming of them as they conducted the autopsy and described what they were doing. I feel quite sick.

Full of sadness to hear about the death of Sir Menzies Campbell, or Ming, as we called him. His incisive intellect made him a formidable debater, though he was unfailingly courteous and always a gentleman. He spoke with power, authority and moral clarity in opposition to the Iraq War. He was right.

Ming Campbell was such a kind and extraordinary figure. I still remember his incredibly strong handshake when I met him as a 17 year old!

jameswharrison.bsky.social
Oh no. I met him when I was a young 17 year old activist in the Borders and he said "You must be the man from YouTube!" (Back in the days when I did politics vlogging). I remember being surprised at how firm his handshake was.

Maggie used to scream endlessly around the flat when I went to bed. We thought something was seriously wrong. But she had just learnt that doing this got her attention and cuddles.

When we stopped coming out to see her, she stopped doing it after a while

jameswharrison.bsky.social
So you deal with the pain now for a few more days or you have him in your bed the rest of his life. Your choice!
