The wealthy have intentionally destroyed class consciousness so that they can exploit the vast majority of people.

If we’re going to fight back and ultimately win this class war, it’s time we got familiar with how our politics actually work.

You cannot reason with a fascist. You can’t endear yourself to a fascist. They will turn on everyone, including their own family, their allies, their sycophants and collaborators.

Fascists hate themselves and they hate the world. This doesn’t stop unless it is stopped.

jysexton.bsky.social
Framing it as Trump simply going after his political enemies is misleading because to a fascist every other living person is their political enemy.

You’re his political enemy. You just haven’t been identified yet.

Well, yes, of course. Absolutely.

jysexton.bsky.social
The brutal and repulsive content being out by the fascist regime isn’t just propaganda, it’s creating ready-made and easily-shareable materials for intimidation and stochastic terrorism.

jysexton.bsky.social
If you’re talking about the Midterms or the 2028 Presidential Election you’ve lost the plot at this point.

I hate AI with a fiery passion and I resent all these companies attempting to push it down our throats. But you have to admire on some level their ability to create products that literally no one wants. It’s an incredible commitment to failure.

It was like watching the Harlem Globetrotters pull off stunt after stunt while the defense just stood there.

It’s really something, the history of politicians who hurt the country by staying too long out of hubris. Brutal, brutal shit. History will not be kind to Schumer and every day that he holds on it will only get worse.

jysexton.bsky.social
For the love of all that is holy, Chuck Schumer, retire.

Go spend time with your family. Let people who understand what’s going on, who have even a modicum of fight in them, do what needs to be done.

Every time you speak you make it clearer that you cannot do this.

Schumer: I want to say to Donald Trump, to Johnson, and to Thune: come to the Capitol, sit down in public, and debate us on the health care crisis that’s afflicting Americans.

The public needs to see this.

Fascism in America will not stop unless we stop it and that means coming together in collective action to shift the paradigm and begin answering the material conditions that created this crisis.

Seeing how this system works make it obvious. It will continue until we stop it.

jysexton.bsky.social
Again, Trump is a symptom of a larger disease.

Whether it's him or someone else, conditions right now necessitate the wealth class embracing a fascist project. You have to look beyond him and see it's not an aberration but an evolution that we must stop.

jysexton.bsky.social
And yes, some of the media conglomerations are capitulating, but what is being revealed, day by day, is that the wealth class isn't just afraid of Trump, they're on board with the ongoing fascist escalation that we've been watching for decades. It helps to see this clearly and not living in denial.

Weiss's ascendance represents the need for the wealth class to continue moving rightward as capitalism requires fascism. Individuals like Klein are there to help moderate white liberals begin to accept that "necessity." That's how this whole thing works and has always worked.
jysexton.bsky.social
Hopefully the whole Bari Weiss thing and Ezra Klein thing starts waking people up to the fact that corporate media is mostly populated with mediocre people who have made millions and gained unbelievable influence because they threaten nothing and tell wealthy people exactly what they want to hear.

jysexton.bsky.social
Just a reminder that authoritarians use the vulnerabilities of liberal democracy against itself, including concepts of "free speech" and the "healthy exchange of ideas."

They do not value these things. They are not sincerely held principles. They're cudgels and they will erase them once in power.

jysexton.bsky.social
All of this could be over if we got past our own shit, joined together, and presented a brave collective front.

We could have a new day. We could have a better world. It's that simple.

If you’re running for office and you cannot say that these criminals should be held responsible for their crimes and abuses then you are not worthy of being trusted with power.

Period. End of story. This is the absolute baseline for everyone who wants to be a leader right now.

To not see what’s happening and that white moderates and corporate media are mainstreaming and enabling fascism is a choice at this point.

Denial is one of the main components of fascism succeeding. It’s all rather obvious and choosing to not see it is choosing to help the fascists.

jysexton.bsky.social
With things worsening, we can’t afford to keep living in denial of what’s happening. You’ve got enough information. They’re not even really trying to hide it anymore.

There’s the fascists and their wealth class enablers and then there’s the rest of us. From there, you can change things.

jysexton.bsky.social
It’s become clear to many what’s going on, but for those who are still asking Democrats why they’re not doing more or wondering why corporate media keeps normalizing Trump and demonizing vulnerable people, it’s time to see what’s happening.

They’re not on your side.

jysexton.bsky.social
I’ll say it as clearly as possible: when capitalism requires fascism, moderates and wealth class adjacent figures and groups and media side with the fascists over leftists calling for reform.

That’s where we are and as leftist sentiments grow the violence and collaboration will grow in response.

jysexton.bsky.social
This is, and has always been, a class war. There’s a veneer over top of it that presents parties and leaders and media as faux representative, but when the rubber meets the road and capitalism requires fascism, they turn to capitulation and collaboration.
