The wealthy have intentionally destroyed class consciousness so that they can exploit the vast majority of people.

If we’re going to fight back and ultimately win this class war, it’s time we got familiar with how our politics actually work.

This is one of those things that rarely gets talked about that has had a massive effect.

As fields like journalism, art, and academia were collapsed and living expenses skyrocketed they came to skew increasingly toward people whose families could afford to supplement their income.
If you're ever wondered why journalists seem so out of touch most of the time it's because in order to establish yourself you need to either come from money, marry into money, or be OK with abject poverty and daily financial panic

That third thing is unsustainable long-term

Just a reminder that we could be living in an America in which Trump and his fellow conspirators are spending the rest of their lives in prison if we had serious politicians and a system that wasn’t hellbent on and designed toward self-destruction.

I don’t know, man. I don’t know that I’m going to make it out of this insipid ass period. It’s a trial.

The problem isn’t just historic inequality and how it creates imbalanced systems or destroys capitalism through contradictions. It’s also what intentional precarity as a weapon does to people mentally and emotionally.

Almost every day the fascist stories are accompanied with stories about record anxiety and stress and uncertainty and loneliness and hardly anyone wants to connect the obvious dots.

Fascism is a collective breakdown. People are struggling and there has to be relief.

The AI stories about people losing their minds chatting with bots are indicators of a need to regulate these companies but also red flags that mental health is absolutely cratering and the same people who should regulate need to address this increasingly and intentionally precarious environment.

The schism within MAGA does not mean that the Right will simply destroy itself and that things will automatically get better.

Unless we embrace collective action to address the material conditions that got us here, MAGA will birth a more extreme, even more fascist and Neo-Nazi movement.
It’s true that some MAGA supporters are losing faith in Trump and expressing frustration. But evidence and trends suggest they’re flocking to explicit Fascists and growing more radicalized.

We can’t just sit back and hope. We have to fight.

I have my doubts about whether we’ll have free and fair elections myself. That’s my point. This focus on elections over collective, democratic action will be the end of us.

We must recognize what is happening and see that our institutions and current leaders aren’t just failing, they’re incapable of stopping this madness.

We have to see voting is only the most basic part of democracy and work within ourselves and within community to put a stop to this.

This feedback loop will not just stop on its own. Even if Trump dies, someone will fill that space and perhaps go farther than him.

This isn’t about elections. It’s about the need for recognition of the problem and a cultural sea-change. We can’t wait for heroes. It’s on us.

Openly calling for political enemies to be executed is, now, a fantasy, but make no mistake: Trump will, if allowed to, continue to push and distort and pervert the system until he is able to make that violent fantasy a reality.

And, simultaneously, his cultists will desire each escalation.

When Trump visits a dictator or welcomes them to the White House, he desires what they have. This is why he is most comfortable with authoritarians. They share a worldview and a desire. If he is not stopped, or whomever follows him, it will escalate to reflect those desires.

Trump’s escalation of fascist desires for murder and plunder and oppression is an inevitable cycle unless it is stopped.

He’s serious about destroying our rights and he’s serious about executing political enemies and critics. This is a real desire he is voicing. It’s not posturing.

Fascists share a worldview and it is shaped by fear, brittleness, and insecurity. This is why project their self-hatred on the world and seek control.

The disease of fascism cannot stop on its own. There’s no amount of control or “safety” that sates their fear. That’s why the violence grows.

Many of us grew up in authoritarian environments that would later become MAGA, and we’ve heard people calling for the kinds of violence and fascistic control Trump now gives voice to.

This has been festering our whole lives and even before. Ignoring that fact only makes this crisis worse.

Those who believe Trump is an aberration fail to see he is the embodiment of what millions of Americans want and desire.

Each time he escalates in his fascist positions he is giving permission for them to get worse and for the environment to grow more and more dangerous.

Trump and his supporters are in a poisonous feedback loop where his power is based on encouraging their worst behaviors and thoughts.

Calling for the execution of political enemies is an escalation and it makes unchecked fascist violence a reality.

The ugly secret is that AI is a narcissist machine that’s programmed by people who desperately need validation for a lonely, isolated population that desires an increasingly frictionless existence.
In a world in which people with too much power and influence desperately need to be told and to understand when they are wrong, we are suddenly all inescapably drowning in sycophancy machines.
In a world in which people with too much power and influence desperately need to be told and to understand when they are wrong, we are suddenly all inescapably drowning in sycophancy machines.

When navigating these times we have to be aware of the different moments, when they’re aggressive and attacking and when they’re vulnerable and desperate.

And here’s the thing: fascists become more and more violent when they feel cornered.
Just a reminder that Trump had his attorney general preempt the Mueller Report with a self-serving “summary” and the media ran with it and it defined everything that came after.

Something to remember as we wait for a probably doctored and scrubbed “Epstein Files” report.

Yes, absolutely.

For the love of all that is holy stop using AI to produce slop making fun of Trump. It’s lame as shit and only normalized a technology that’s economically, environmentally, and intellectually destructive.

It’s using fascist tools and thinking you’re fighting fascism. Stop.

Simply put, capitalism has reached a point where such abusive things are necessary to continue the project that it rewards individuals willing to hurt anyone and do anything, creating a toxic feedback loop where the worst people are continually given the most wealth and power.

The Epstein stuff reveals that our elites are so insulated and powerful that they can do anything, but it doesn’t stop with this abuse. That same mindset is what leads to these terrible wars, government that leaves people to starve and die unnecessary deaths.

It’s a systemic failure.
