New from 404 Media: we've obtained a leak from inside Palantir describing Palantir's plan to help ICE find people to deport. Includes peoples' location. Palantir is expecting a backlash, preparing comments for employees to tell their family. Says ICE "mature partner"

The Trump administration’s military strikes on alleged drug boats are “blatantly unlawful as a matter of U.S. domestic law—and a quickly spreading stain on whatever is left of the executive branch’s commitment to the rule of law.”

Me on “extrajudicial killings” in the latest issue of “One First”:
188. Five Questions About "Extrajudicial Killings"
There is no obvious legal argument to support President Trump's expanding campaign of strikes against alleged drug boats in the Caribbean Sea and Pacific Ocean. And the implications are even scarier.

Once in like 1999 I went into a Gristedes to buy some cereal and milk and when I opened the milk fridge a fucking bat flew out, hit me in the face, and flew up to the ceiling (its home, clearly) and when I told the woman at the front she was like yeah, he gets trapped in there sometimes
Billionaire John Catsimatidis threatens to close Gristedes chain if socialist Zohran Mamdani elected NYC mayor
For her 65th, I made my sister an end grain cutting board from spalted poplar harvested on our property. Fancy and beautiful! But my daily driver is a 30-year old board from Ikea and I also have a couple that are just off-cuts of 1x6's that I had from other projects. 😀
Oh sure! I wouldn't hesitate to use a plastic cutting board just on sanitary grounds. As long as it got washed after every use.
Wood is better than plastic in a couple of ways: easier on your knife edges, no microplastics getting in your food, end grain particularly self-heals from cuts thus leaving fewer grooves for bacteria to breed in, and wood actually has anti-microbial qualities.

Wondering why no one likes your posts anymore, even among your friends? It's because @jay.bsky.team and team have decided to hide a huge amount of content from all of our feeds by default.

Here's how to turn it off.

First go to the hamburger menu in the upper left corner
This is a good piece. Campaigns should start with principles. Ignore the consultant class who will always tell you not to stand for anything.

We win by running on, not from our values. When we cede moral high ground to MAGA, either by remaining silent or by offering "lite" version of their divide to conquer, we allow their views greater legitimacy.
Democrat Danny Ceisler won the Sheriff in Bucks County and ran against a Republican who partnered with ICE. He said “that does send a message to law enforcement all over the country that partnering with ICE is a losing proposition.”

It's outrageous that Spotify is running ICE ads. I'm moving to another streaming platform that doesn't profit from exploiting artists while recruiting for ICE. #CancelSpotify app.sosha.ai/s/MxOlBsbc

I talk to the press professionally, I'm really, really, really good at it.

So please, please believe me when say you cannot turn this interview request into anything good, it will do only harm. Harm to you, harm to your child, harm to other children.
heads up to anyone who holds trans kids near: amy harmon from the nyt is searching for and having a hard time finding people to interview to find out exactly what trans kids are doing when their care is limited or cut off, and for purposes of community safety, please shut the fuck up around her.
I’m sorry, buddy, that’s so tough. Best wishes to both of you.

Fed. judge issues TRO to address constitutional deficiencies in ICE detention facility in Broadville, Illinois.

Monsters. They’re monsters.
Getting new details on this now:

As the arrest unfolded, teachers pleaded with the agents telling them the teacher had a work permit. The agents went into multiple rooms looking for teachers while children were present. One teacher hid with a child in her care while the agents stormed the facility.
Raids inside day cares had been off limits until this year, when, on his first day in office, President Donald Trump removed that protection.

The arrest reportedly took place in front of children.

I agree with this thread, but I also need to add one thing:

The idea that progressives can't win in conservative areas? We need to challenge that, and after this election, we can.
The thing is that I agree with the notion that we need a broad coalition! Candidates exactly like Mamdani aren’t necessarily going to clean up everywhere! The thing is that I suspect a lot of the centrists saying that not every candidate can be Mamdani actually want NO candidates to be Mamdani
The GOP and a lot of centrists tbh, I hope some big name Dem electeds and strategists are feeling VERY uneasy right now
