But I’m 100% sure that Federal Aviation Administration does not have a “rutabaga policy.” What they do have is requirements that prospective pilots earn a series of certificates, which requires a bare minimum of 250 hours of flight time, as well as a bunch of other stuff, all of which is enumerated in Part 61 of Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations which does not include the word “rutabaga” anywhere."

Microsoft shoved their AI Copilot into everything in Windows 11. Which lead to an increase in Windows 10 use. So they announced they'd stop support for Windows 10, but its usage was still strong. So they started to put Copilot into Windows 10.

Windows 7 use is surging 5x now.

AI is product poison.

I know that this essay will be good. I know that when it all comes together my argument will be compelling and interesting and engaging and maybe even persuasive. But also I look at my script and see things like this and like, man. Fighting an uphill battle with what i'm like.

I think my favorite thing about Alex Easton (of @tkingfisher.com’s Sworn Soldier books) is how thoroughly and enthusiastically ka loves a neurodivergent weirdo. it's great! and not just because pillar is one of the nine fans of my goofy movie content. i'm constantly amazed by the extent to which pillar is able to take a complex political topic and make it personal in a way that also makes my understanding of the topic feel more meaningful
