I have done the thing that I should have done a month ago. Here all in one place is my award-eligible writing from the last year! I'll add a post for each story below, but here is the list in all its unvarnished glory in case you would like to go in blind.

It will become increasingly important for people to take video and protect and save that video so that when there is finally an accounting for what’s happening, there will be evidence.

alright i think i need to stop spelunking in gun forums and just ask bluesky: was timothy mcveigh's hatred for lon horiuchi at all racially inflected? does his race come up at all in non-stormfront militia right-wing contexts?

It’s been reported locally, but I’m not sure how much national notice this has gotten. As part of this invasion by shithead goons, they are putting ICE agents in jetbridges and other parts of the airport at Minneapolis-Saint Paul. If you are flying Delta via MSP, you are putting yourself at risk.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents will begin checking documents of travelers and workers at MSP airport, with patrols inside jet bridges.

repeat after me: federal tort claims act means that you can get money from federal agents who fuck up your shit

no, it doesn’t make it right but it’s at least something you can do to fight back and get your bag*

I do not mean to victim blame, but literally no one should be serving these nazis. Turn them away.
One of the stories that makes me the saddest out of this ICE invasion is one out of the Minnesota Star Tribune today about ICE agents eating at a little Mexican restaurant in the small town of Willmar, Minn, —and then, when they were done, arresting some of the workers.

Watch Virginia tomorrow. A lot of this will go through. Big day ahead.
Virginia's legislative session only started yesterday, and it was a very big day.

The House already passed four constitutional amendments on Day 1:
—protect abortion rights
—repeal the same-sex marriage ban
—allow mid-decade redistricting
—greatly expand voting rights restoration.

Next: Senate.

Hey folks Calvary Food Shelf has been helping out people in Minneapolis for 30 years, and now they’re ramping up to meet the crisis, including doing home deliveries so people don’t have to risk going out.

They’re just over halfway to their current goal—let’s get them all the way, shall we?

I’m seeing posts from people (outside of MN) about how US citizens should carry their passports.

And let me say that *inside* MN, we are calmly responding to requests with: “No, I don’t have to show you any documentation.”

Because that’s how you protect everyone, regardless of immigration status.

Under Trump 2.0, federal agents have routinely countered protesters using "less lethal" weapons in ways that some experts say might be criminal.

If people are pushing for armed resistance on here, they are definitely not the people you want to listen to on the subject of armed resistance
hesitant to step in on this but I think people pushing for armed resistance really need to think about the goals of armed resistance and the mechanisms by which it could possibly achieve those goals.
