I've shipped internationally a decent amount since the Harmonized Tariff Code thing went into action, so I keep a little "cheat sheet" of codes so I don't have to look it up every time. Maybe this will help someone else, so might as well share!

Effective immediately UPS will no longer be available as an option for shipment from me. I do not trust them or their shitty retroactive AI anymore.

If you've been waiting to grab a pattern, please do it now? I can't afford to absorb this charge, I'm barely keeping afloat.

Hiron Ennes' The Works of Vermin leans into a gothic, fungal ambience while balancing discussions on evolution and power, perfect for fans of The Locked Tomb and The West Passage. Read @tobiascarroll.bsky.social's latest review:

THE BASILISK HAS ENTERED THE CHAT
The neat thing about computer scientists is that they don't have schemes for mass destruction.

We just sit here looking around nervously and hoping the wheels don't fall off before we finish dessert.

"I hope the ... doesn't...."

"Shut up. Shut up. Shut up."
remember how I said no one beat the bio majors for murder plans except nursing majors
And there it is.

Fuck every last person who voted for this shitbag.
Breaking: The Supreme Court is now officially considering taking up a case overturning same-sex marriage.

This is the first time in history the court has considered rolling back this right.

We've made some progress, thank you so much! I could still use around another £400 if Bluesky can find a way to dig deep this month to help a trans dude get back on his meds.
Folks, I need to ask for some help this month.

My US testosterone scrip has run out & I can't wait the 7+ years it takes to get seen by the UK NHS to renew it. I've been working w private practitioners to fast track getting hormones & this has been an extra £500 this month

Any help is appreciated

I was looking for nostalgic Halloween stuff last night and remembered Disney’s DTV Monster Hits, a confounding 1987 amv compilation that nevertheless convinced young me “Evil woman, that’s what I should be. I can have alligators.”

The top word is English followed by how it is written in the Cherokee language followed by how it is spelled in English then how to pronounce it phonetically.

this is the absolute most predictable response from the democratic establishment

every popular candidate slightly left of center has been the target of party ire. bernie, zohran, the whole squad (what’s left of it), hell, even Tim Walz was told to shut up when he sounded too normal
it remains utterly baffling to me that a party whose leadership is historically unpopular with its base gets a generational political talent who is actually resonating with people and instead of thanking their lucky stars they’re like WE MUST STOP THIS MAN AT ALL COSTS
At this point they need Mamdani’s endorsement more than Mamdani needs theirs

Bay Area: this article is a fact sheet with information to contact various legal and advocacy groups local to the area if you have an encounter with ICE. Share this info far and wide.
While this federal administration has been busy empowering ICE to become, essentially, an extrajudicial militia allowed to disappear people from our streets, the Bay has been organizing. We will not be beaten down.
What We Can Do About ICE
ICE is in the Bay Area. And yes, we can all do something about it.

I'm sure this seems like a good idea to some people, but as a dairy farmer I can tell you that there a handful of us that'll empty that whole fucking bottle in one beautifully studied squeeze, and it will shoot through hotdog, through the bottom of the plate and fill the floor.
I have been traveling and today I present to you...the thing I saw in the Frankfurt airport.

Is it efficient? Undeniably. Does it probably work better than the normal way? Oh certainly. Produce less of a mess? Probably?

But the existence of Condiment Udders gives me a deep, aghast disquiet.
Take care of yourself and hope you feel better tomorrow!
