The new issue of Billy McCall's Behind the Zines is so good & focuses on the (I think) endlessly fascinating topic of zine distribution. (Available on Etsy, if you want to get yourself a copy.)
Cover of Behind the Zines: A Zine about Zines, issue 20, September 2025, features a black and white illustration of a woman rollerblading with zines swirling around her.

Made a super duper teeny tiny mini zine out of a post-it note. If you fold it so that the sticky side is inside it perfectly glues the pages together 🤯 It's great!!

I'm from Detroit and this is how I felt when I visited Amsterdam in 2018. It was my dream of city infrastructure.

A few months ago, a friend visited me in Utrecht. As we biked around to do daily errands, she kept saying, "This is like a dream. This is like a dream."

I do believe all cities the world over to soon come to their senses, limit car movement, and build a dream of safe, abundant streets for people.

I do think it’s important.
A comic of a black spikes figure speaking to a white figure with a rectangular head. Black figure: “Everything fucking sucks. And everyone online is like… Make art! Art is, you know, super important! But what if nobody cares about my art? Who is that going to help? Who is that gonna SAVE?” White figure: “You. And a few people like you, maybe.” Black figure: “Yeah. Maybe.”

I don’t post a lot about the ICE kidnappings and assaults because I don’t know what to do about it and don’t want to suggest courses of action that might get people killed, or draw the wrong kind of attention to people doing good work. But I hate them, and opposing them is basic decency

if i've learned one thing from doing union stuff while also doing other forms of organizing, it's that you're better off with people you disagree with who are nevertheless trying to do the same thing as you than with people you agree with who aren't trying to do anything

Digital drawing of a white cat sitting in a garden. There are layers of flowers echoing the blue, pink, and white colors of the trans flag. Blue hydrangea at top, pink roses, white snowdrops, pink daisies, and finally, small blue flowers among the grass at bottom.

UK Gouvernment: Payment Processors Can Ban NSFW Content
According to the UK treasury, payment processors are in the right and the gouvernment has no plans to step in. This puts it in direct contrast to what artists and the UK games industry have asked for.

Hey, I know books are expensive and money is tight right now.

But if there's a brand new book you really wanna read — including my own Lessons in Magic and Disaster — you can help get the book into way more hands by requesting it from your local library!

It's easy! Check your library's website.

Seeing pictures of an abandoned tamale cart in Pilsen where ICE took a tamale street vendor. Those photos of left behind carts are so haunting. Community members disappeared. Not just vendors but people who have long standing relationships with the community and people.
