a number of gop senators admitted they have family members who are disabled by long covid. They want to outsource research to private sector, spend as little as possible and of course they’re all gonna get reinfected as much as possible because they don’t take any preventative steps.

We definitely need research and we need more and better vaccines too. Eveyone in my long covid group was vaccinated & I know We’d be even sicker without the vax help. But we are still very ill. If you aren’t disabled yet repeat infections raise risk of LC so still need to mask up when sharing air

My husband has a very strategically shaped mustache and mutton chops combo that combines looking like he’s from the 70s with fitting in an aura n95. He’d keep it up even if he didn’t have to.
There are beard shapes that can work depending on your face, though too. Sometimes a huge mask works

It’s definitely their intent but what folks over here seem to forget is that anyone can become disabled from Covid. Even healthy people who are vaccinated. So everyone is on the chopping block

don’t know how to find a mask that works with your face shape? there’s a lot of resources now you might not have seen before. There also Mask Blocs if you can’t afford. There’s directions on building air filter boxes out of cheap box fans. Even if you don’t mask everywhere mask on transit & @ Dr.

It’s never too late to start masking again.

It can be daunting to mask back up when no one else is bothering, but your health is worth it.

Every Covid infection is a dice roll with disability, and a good respirator like an N95 stops chains of transmission.

You’ll also get less colds & flus!

I don’t know who needs to hear this but the CDC is being eviscerated right now. America is not going to have any kind of outbreak response capacity after tonight. Americans’ health data is no longer secure. Say goodbye to federal public health in any capacity. It’s a disaster. We won’t recover.

I once sat in the rain for a NLCS game that was so long they held a 2nd 7th inning stretch in the 14th inning.

This game was longer.

Most sports are about the action; what makes baseball so intense is that the game is also about the in-between. It’s chess, but requires hand-eye coordination.

I was moved to tears by some of the personal stories on display. Such a great event

One of the stories that resonated - "I was able to venture out for an ice cream cone with a friend this day. I don't feel comfortable eating in restaurants or going to bars like most people my age. Spring and summer are nice beaches they give me more options to spend time outdoors with fewer people around - which means I get to see the people I love more often. Even short moments like this help me feel a little more like a "normal" 24 year old again

Update: my husband is not watching the game, so did not know the immediate situation I was inquiring about but he does speak baseball and I read him your analogies. He informed me that in this case both teams are Van Halen.
