The image is a teal square with the text: "I want people in my life that make me feel safe. Safe to talk. Safe to share things with. Safe to be myself." At the bottom of the square is the text: "@whatwomenwant".

Yesterday I finished the final segment of walking the entire 182 miles of the Thames Path, by walking 15 miles from Abingdon to Wallingford. So excited to complete this epic experience.

On this day in 1940 John Lennon was born.

In 1946, following his parents' separation, he came to live with his aunt at Mendips in the Woolton area of Liverpool. We're incredibly proud to look after this house as a place for people to visit and experience where it all began.
Exterior of a suburban semi-detached house with a front porch and gates across a driveway John Lennon's childhood bedroom. We see the bed, posters on the wall and a view from the window onto a street. Interior of John Lennnon's childhood home. We're looking into the living room with a comfy, worn sofa and chairs, small desk and a fireplace. They are arranged around a patterned rug.

The building we know as Tudor House was originally built between 1491 and 1518, incorporating an older banqueting hall from around a century earlier. Pictured here before its restoration when it was occupied by George Cawte, a bookbinder, and George Pope, a dyer.

I’ve finally had a chance to settle in and explore #HeslingtonHall. Turns out the #gardens are quite magical. It almost feels as if walking through the #TopiaryGarden could take one into another century…

The very curious but beautiful Nyboder neighbourhood in Copenhagen. Originally built in 17th and 18th centuries as naval accommodation. Feels a bit neglected today. #copenhagen

With the spring #tide, the banks doth floweth over and it becomes #Thames upon #Richmond. But the local animals are pretty used to that by now!
Thanks to @thamespathnt.bsky.social for the tidal-tipoff!

A crow swoops low over a water-covered riverside path, where the tide has caused the river to overflow its banks A dog with a stick in its mouth and a cyclist both spash along a flooded pathway, next to a river that has overflowed its banks Seagulls sit and stand on a flooded pathway, the waterlogged grass next to it, and the nearby benches. A brightly painted pink cottage with a thatched roof in Doolin, Ireland. The building houses “The Sweater Shop,” with a blue sign above the doorway. Colorful sweaters and knitwear are displayed on the outside walls, and flower boxes with pink flowers sit under the green-trimmed windows.

I think I'd cycle 80 miles in a headwind to see Ely Cathedral. No other cathedral feels so organically grown from the earth itself - it's lantern tower is one of the most verdant wonders of the medieval world. #thread
Ely Cathedral’s octagon and spires rise above the town’s tiled rooftops, their weathered stone and intricate pinnacles catching morning light beneath a pale blue Fenland sky.
