I need this in my yard! 😍
Bearded Iris Feel the Thunder presents a striking contrast between the very light blue standards and the ocean blue falls. Abundant ruffling enhances glimpses of wisteria blue undersides on the falls. A subtle, meandering outline of the falls is the same shade as the standards.
Desk corners are brutal for knees. 😖

I made a drippy pride flag mural in my studio (with an assist from my kiddo) and y’all, I had a BLAST. I would loooove to do more of these! HMU if you’re around Nashville and need your own for your home or business! 🌈 ✨
It’s been killing us. It was just sneakier about it.
Little details like this make a game 👍🏻
The first Iris bloom opened on Friday and yesterday when I was able to go out again 3 more were opened! And there’s several more getting ready to go. Last year there were 4 total and the last barely made it. 😱💜

In the hush of the forest and the silence of snow,
A tiny owl watches where few dare to go.
Eyes like fire, soul like night — the spirit of the woods in flight.

I just want to make my silly little art, not become an expert in politics and beg my representatives to do their damn jobs.

I’ve recently read that people would prefer to live in the Star Wars universe instead of the Star Trek universe and that just has me shaking my head. I’ll take life in the Federation any day over The Empire. Now excuse me while I fill my belly with this free replicated food that won’t run out soon.

If you are out in the community, & you don’t see any disabled folks out & about, wonder why that is.

Re: Five activities this week

As a regional OSHA lead, this week I inspected a local Chocolate Factory and found:

1. Slave labor
2. An open chocolate river with no guardrails
3. Improper waste disposal
4. Experimental products lacking FDA approval
5. Unsafe elevator for employees

Disabled and disability aren't slurs. There is no shame in being disabled or part of the disability community.

Trying to avoid using the words disabled or disability puts shame on the words and is actually ableism and eugenics.

Knock it off.
Trying to find hobbies that are still interesting enough but fit within your ability is challenging, especially if your ability fluctuates. More often than not I end up just streaming another series to kill time until I can do more. 😕
disability sucks but it sucks MORE when it impacts you from doing hobbies (like cosplay on ur birthday)

tonight we played a game where we hung out on a voice call and asked each other for numbers and then read aloud matching-# pages from books we had in reach. a fun variety game where everyone is a winner and you all leave feeling a little bit closer and a little bit wiser

Btw if y’all wanna know how invisible Disabled people are made, it’s not called DEI it’s called DEIA. The A stands for Accessibility. And it was left out before DEI was even removed.

We need more abled people to stick up for disabled people right now. They're going after accessibility, 504, IEPs, and RFK wants to put us in labor camps. Yet the ONLY people I ever see talking about this are also disabled.
