These people who call themselves "gamers" as an identity really dehumanize game devs. They sincerely fucking hate the people who give them what they base their identities on.

I wonder how they treat their own mothers. Probably spit on them after they bring them dinner.

The French were also brutal colonizers, but there was that key moment where the US and France joined in celebrating taking in refugees, often also a result of colonization whether directly or indirectly, and that's interesting, and bittersweet. We can choose to be our better selves.

I've always been somewhat of a US history nerd. The immigrant communities throughout its history are an absolutely fascinating subject. And it's why I also get really fucking upset about the white nationalist myth. That whiteness is a real material thing, I mean, and glossing over all of that.
