Oh yeah man, don't come to main stream sports commentary from a data driven perspective as you will be sorely disappointed. That being said, there are some folks with you tube channels and podcasts who take a more analytical approach and I find that can be good content.

Especially since they choose to go on a giant show! Also I can never tell if the participants are just media trained by pr firms during the reunions or if some of the participants actually are introspective and maybe getting therapy. Hard not to be cynical!

I was pretty self loathing about being Mexican American as a teen so I get it but I agee that we have tools available to help us understand and work through it. It's hard but it's harmful to our people to not push back against internalized white supremacy! It's ok to display frustration with them!

I read a good piece or thread (can't remember) that spoke to how authoritarianism has evolved and used Hungary and other examples in recent years which was a very good read on this very situation. I wish I could I could find it but man, it was spot on.

Social media is their best tool outside of Fox News! I think back to the Arab Spring and how we imagined social media as a tool for progress and in fact its just been weaponized as a tool of manipulation and control for the most part. Man I wish I knew then what I know now.

There is no reason that Oregon officials should let this fly. This is absolutely illegal. If this was a protestor doing this to a cop they would have been beaten by the cops then faced incredible legal repercussions. We have to start holding these thugs accountable.
