Remember when people simply lied about Joe Biden doing exactly this and it was a major scandal
The vile Trump takeover of FEMA is complete- only states that voted for Trump get climate disaster relief.
Alaska, North Dakota, and Missouri approved. Vermont, Illinois and Maryland denied.
Trump explicitly cited how the states voted in announcing the approvals.
Trump issues disaster declarations for Alaska and other states but denies Illinois and Maryland
President Donald Trump has approved major disaster declarations for Alaska, Nebraska, North Dakota and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe

the idea of being captive, stuck in traffic in a taxi, as NEWSMAX of all things plays at me sounds like hell on earth

“But people want a Steve Soderburg Star Wars movie.” I get it. I like Soderburg too. I’d much rather let a woman direct actually get the chance to get that money and authorial voice over a dude who has had the ability to build his career for the past few decades.

I am, once again, saying I'm baffled by #911OnABC doing...THIS after the way they tried to justify killing Bobby.

Also, I can't believe they really felt the need to out-shark-jump the beenado with this shit.

The only truly ethical response that a self-described artist can make. Anything else is a betrayal of one's colleagues.
“I am not interested, nor will I ever be interested. I'm 61, and I hope to be able to remain uninterested in using it at all until I croak. ... The other day, somebody wrote me an email, said, ‘What is your stance on AI?’ And my answer was very short. I said, ‘I'd rather die.’” 🫡
Filmmaker Guillermo del Toro says 'I'd rather die' than use generative AI
Del Toro's new Frankenstein adaption reimagines Mary Shelley's 1818 Gothic novel. Frankenstein was like a tech bro: "creating something without considering the consequences," he explains.

I am increasingly concerned that we do not have a clear eyed understanding of how bad things are about to become with SNAP (and WIC?) benefits disappearing in 8 days. Our neighbors who rely on SNAP are food insecure *with* it. Without it, we are heading into a true crisis.

One of those data points isn't just "has a Nazi tattoo" it's "has lied more than once about his Nazi tattoo."

There is a fundamental lack of integrity in the man, and the fact that people are still debating as though he were a serious candidate is disturbing. He is beneath consideration.
it's so odd to me to see people go to bat for a political newcomer like platner. it's not like he's spent years earning our trust. we have very, very few data points about this dude, and one of those data points is "he has a nazi tattoo."

"...though some say a change is needed."

Are y'all required to "though some say" every fucking thing? This is such an embarrassment.
An obituary for the East Wing, home to first ladies, military aides, presidential cats and White House Super Bowl parties, demolished this week after 123 years to make room for Trump's grand ballroom. Many mourn though some say a change is needed. www.nytimes.com/2025/10/23/u...

Well there’s the fact he’s said racist things, misogynistic things, and homophobic things….usually those things go hand in hand with saying antisemitic things.

Also, it’s a fucking Nazi tattoo and even if he didn’t know (there’s strong evidence he did) once he did know he hasn’t acted horrified.
My point was that if he got an antisemitic tatoo, but he never said or wrote anything antisemitic, then maybe he just got the tattoo because he thought it looked cool. So, I'm asking if he ever said or wrote anything antisemitic or was known to be antisemitic, outside of getting the tattoo.

Spent the red flag doing research, and this seems to be the closest answer to “has a Le Mans winner ever raced at Martinsville before?”

However, Jones won Le Man in 1996, so Bamber seems to be the first
Davy Jones DNQ’s at Martinsville in 1995, which doesn’t answer your question but that’s wild.
