Like how much lift would a Pteranodon's wings have to generate to carry something that weighed 800 pounds? That's a whole different ballgame compared to an owl picking up a rabbit or something.

I read that some birds IRL can lift up to "four times their body weight", which is probably what filmmakers are going on, but those are BIRDS and not pterosaurs. Wiki says a Pteranodon could weigh up to "200lbs", but they also say they flew more similar to seabirds like albatrosses, and not raptors.

I like how pterosaurs in dinosaur movies/games are just like "whatever". They exist entirely to lift up humans and drop them. A pteranodon didn't have teeth, so it's not like it could eat a person. Why does it go after them? Simply to lift them up and drop them. It's what birds do.
