When you treat autistic adults like children, you justify leaving us out of jobs, relationships, and decisions about our own lives. This isn’t harmless. It’s dehumanizing

Black autistic people are often misdiagnosed, underdiagnosed, or never diagnosed at all.
Why?
Because racism and ableism intersect and we fall through the cracks.
We deserve recognition, support, and care

While everyone has different support needs,
Infantilizing autistic adults isn’t kindnes it’s control. It denies autonomy, agency, and dignity. We don’t need “parenting,” we need respect 👌🏽

I continue to face death threats and relentless censorship across all platforms for reporting on the Israeli genocide in Gaza and Palestine. Please consider supporting my work.

Stop calling autistic meltdowns tantrums because they are not, If an autistic person melts down,
it’s not “bad behavior.”
It’s overload.
Too much noise, light, pressure, expectation.
Imagine a fire alarm going off in your head and no one else hears it.
That’s what we’re fighting 👌🏽

Trump shutdown has left 1.3M service members unpaid, driving many military families to food banks. ASYMCA reports a 34% rise in aid requests; nationwide pantries see up to 30% more visits. United Way and USAA provide relief, but long-term food insecurity remains a concern

Too many advocacy spaces exclude Black autistic people.
We’re not an afterthought.
We’re not optional.
We’ve always been here organizing, surviving, thriving.

i was a kid with a disability who grew up in the great blue state of illinois and then went to high school in another blue state of minnesota — the same one that is fetishized for education funding

relying on the blue state idea is complete trash, kids with disabilities are fucked over everywhere

A Black child’s meltdown is seen as aggression 😕
A white child’s meltdown is seen as a cry for help 🙂‍↔️
This double standard costs lives, opportunities, and dignity.
Listen to Black autistic voices.

Are we great yet?
Everyone’s being fired.
Are we great yet?
Food is rotting in our fields.
Are we great yet?
The market’s crashing greatly.
Diseases are now running rampant.
At what point aren’t we great?
Our military’s in line at food banks.
So super great.

being online is amazing you can say "our democratically elected officials should be doing something and/or should have done something previously to prevent the current political climate from developing to this point" and someone will argue with you

Autistic decision-making isn’t just mental.

It’s sensory.

It’s relational.

It’s embodied.

Every option is a whole landscape we feel in our bodies - and sometimes, that’s too much to walk through alone.

We need support.

Autistic truth makes people uncomfortable because it’s not performative.

We name what’s broken without decorating it.

It’s not rudeness.

It’s clarity.

And clarity is sacred.

Standing up to fascism is always the right choice.

Rejecting censorship is always the right choice.

Fighting for marginalized and vulnerable communities is always the right choice.

This incessant focus on employment, even for people who can potentially work, is ridiculous in my view.

The primary focus for any disabled person should be supporting them to maximise their quality of life before anything else is even considered.

3. Two physio appts - 4 months
4. Referred to MSK - 9 months
5. Referred for tests - 6 months

ICE facilities should be abolished.

Until then, they should be forced to have glass walls.

If more people could see what’s being done to detainees, they would join the resistance.

U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) says he has been denied 4 times to see what is going on inside the Broadview, IL ICE facility:

"Something's going on in there that they don't want us to see. I don't know what it is, but all Americans should be asking the same question."
