About a month ago, the Trump administration got rid of the de minimis exemption, whereby packages valued under $800 could slide in without import duties. Now there's a backlog as the government can't process all of this paperwork, leading to UPS just destroying packages
Business Insider headline reads: UPS is telling customers that their packages coming to the US are marked for destruction.

I beg the reporters of this nation to ask Trump whether he thinks the elderly folk singers are the dangerous ones, or if the real threat is the person in the plushy frog costume.

On the ferry on the way back now! And there's a dog! Who I've just given a big fuss to! I thought train dogs were good, surely ferry dogs trump even them?

About to spend the afternoon in a little museum...
An ornate, very impressive museum entrance, the Rijkmuseum in Amsterdam.

First stop of the day, no prizes for guessing where I am!
A view from the top of some cliffs, sea to one side, a pair of whalebones in the foreground forming an arch, a ruined abbey in the background. This is a classic view of Whitby.

Saw someone (not a mutual) posting that fig newtons are a lot of work, and I had to refrain from replying "actually, fig newtons are a lot of force; if they're a lot of work, then they're fig joules"

I'm counting myself lucky it's my first one in several decades of driving, so I can't complain!

At a Kwik Fit now (only place I could find close enough and open today), there's a *big* hole in the tire! Looks like something significant went into and then out of the tire, leaving a proper hole behind! First time I've ever had a proper blown tire on the motorway rather than a slow puncture.

Luckily got breakdown cover as part of my insurance this year, despite thinking I could probably do without it as I don't do high mileage!

Meant to be having Sunday lunch with the (grown up) children at the moment, but I'm sat on the edge of the motorway with a blown tire.
Recovery vehicle hopefully 15 mins away, found a tire place open that will "try to squeeze me in", I do hate sorting stuff like this!
