It’s a tremendous honour, really tremendous - to be presented with a ‘World No.1 University’ ranking from Oxford. Very smart people. The best. Everyone knows it. Nobody thought it could happen, but here we are. Absolutely incredible.

I am once again reminding you all that the UK government introduced an Online Safety Act that is effectively a porn ban on most adult porn websites, but is dithering over banning a website that is actually creating child porn.

This reminds me of visiting my (Irish) Uncle Tom back in the day - we stopped at a cafe for a quick break on the way into Cork. When we got to their house he was worried sick because he'd been told we'd been seen an hour ago crossing the bridge into town (we'd never been to Cork before).
Worked in Gort when most phones were still butterboxes and everything went through an operator.

Me: "Hi, can I have Gort 89?"
Operator: "Are you looking for Helen?"
Me: "Yes."
Operator: "I'll put you through to Sullivan's, she's over there having her dinner."
A friend worked in the exchange in Dublin, so regularly had to connect culchies phoning home.
So one day, someone asks for Ballybeg 4.
He dials the Galway swtich.
"Ballybeg please."
"Connecting."
"Hello, Ballybeg here."
"Hello Ballybeg, this is Dublin, could I have Ballybeg 4."
"They're not in."

Expecting a DPD delivery and the tracking app has shown the driver in the same spot for 1.5 hrs now, a small village down a windy narrow lane, I wonder if he's stuck in a snowdrift? Should I give up and take the dog out, or will he appear the moment I do?

There was more snow by me last night and a bright moon, so walking the dog before dawn I saw loads of hares, they stood out in the fields really clearly today! Often see one or two, but today there seemed to be loads.

So I'm asking for help now. Do you have a story or initiative about Queers and Libraries that you'd like in the book? Let me know!

FYI, they don't have to be positive if that doesn't reflect your experience.
