Low heat induction in model I have does seem to work by turning on/off/on/off etc - so can understand wanting low & constant heat (plus one may have to replace some non-magnetic cookware). No huge advance if you've electric hobs with timer but if on gas: a portable single induction hob allows trial.
One way of knowing one is "too online" is the cooking burning! More seriously: simple stuff in predictable quantities (e.g. rice, pasta, potatoes or a 1 pot recipe) can become set & forget - one can take a call or similar and worst that happens is pasta is left to stand too long.
Induction hob with timer probably highest impact but rubber/silicone rather than bristle toilet brush is perhaps most unexpected. Stainless steel sink is appropriately boring but if one wants easy cleaning (as long as one keeps tin cans off it) stainless beats alternatives.
(A Landmark take on conversations can be seen sensibly by folks as "Don't turn conversations into high school debate club - focused on showing the other is wrong" - or instead as "The most important thing in a conversation is how you manage my feelings (not your actions)" - giving rise to above).
Tracks for NYC (knew a banker type involved).
To paraphrase something "Moral relativists think all morality is relative - but absolute morality is absolutely wrong!". Landmark related version: "You should never make people wrong - but you're making me feel wrong and that's absolutely wrong of you!".
At RFK Jr's level of analysis that's likely: correct comeback.
But expertise is also socially designated - allowing things like: experiencing racism or sexual harassment will make you more knowledgable on it but not more "expert" with a more ignorant, more "objective" person seen as more qualified.
So not faulting folks for thinking something else needs to be top priority (especially in the US) but never masking - unless it is about not being able to afford it - looks like: giving the virus the best odds always (beyond vax) & treating some folk as disposable; which is kinda of: why we're HERE!
So while the CDC data referenced in 1st post (stacks.cdc.gov/view/cdc/174...) has COVID dropping off top 10 causes of death in 2024 that is happening in a context where testing seems down and COVID was not helpful re: other leading causes such as heart disease

Real issue is individual responses, like masking & isolation, having to stand in for better public health response (vax + clean indoor air, sick pay, & monitoring). But dice come to mind. Vax is best "1 step" load dice in favour of oneself & others. But "never mask" implies worst remaining load.

My publisher’s been very patient. I’m not doing everything I said I’d do to promote this book (out in a few weeks) because I’m an organizer in a city under federal attack. My days are full and emotionally exhausting. Any help getting the word out means a lot. It's a book people need right now.

When I turned 30 I had not yet written my first published book or my first published novel and did not know (or know of) some of the most important people in my life. I didn't know how much my life could still change, and did, after the age of 30. There is so much your life still yet to live.
Those who are 35+, what advice do you have for people just entering their 30s?

I just emailed your post calling me white to Equifax, hopefully they’ll increase my credit score
Reading above without photo: thank you for the laugh on discovering "hair like a British legal system participant" was not a euphemism for "prison like buzzcut" but something else entirely. Glad the hair resumed service even if maybe it is not yet "normal service".

Also critical: unemployment is structurally higher than vacancies - and we want it that way (in terms of businesses being able to hire & not having to pick the worst people) see www.ons.gov.uk/employmentan... - so long term survival without benefits = rich or lucky seen as never laid off or injured.
