Morning Womble, I'm reading 'The Haunting of Hill House', by Shirley Jackson, so catching up on an old classic. Yesterday I finished 'Withered Hill' by David Barnet, which was a great piece of 'folk horror'.

Morning. I'm reading Exordia still. About half way through. Unfortunately DNF'd something else this week which slowed me down a bit on this.

Cherie Priest’s “It Was Her House First”. She’s got that Stephen King skill of knowing exactly where to put the knife in for very personal horror. :0

Really getting into 'The Terracotta Dog'. I know it is translated but Camilleri has a really deft style which marks his books out from other crime novelists of the time. I can see why my mother, who gave me these, liked his work.

Morning Womble! I'm reading City of All Seasons by Oliver K. Langmead and Aliya Whiteley, a dual narrative by two writers that's of obvious interest to this co-writing pair!

Good Morning Womble!

Amidst a lot of playing Hades 2 I have found time to start Notes from a Regicide by Isaac Fellman. It's as good as everyone says so far, neither approaching its subjects head on or avoiding them but dancing around them delightfully.

Good morning and happy Sunday! Currently half-way through Claire-Louise Bennett's Big Kiss, Bye-Bye, which I'm enjoying very much - a few unexpected dollops of the gothic in there, too.

Morning, Womble. I'm reading The Red Scholar's Wake by Aliette de Bodard, which is a tale of love, loss and piratical mindships. I am enjoying it lots.
A red purple and blue book with powder edging of purple fading to blue. The cover features two silhouetted women against a cosmic vista of nebulae and stars, with the ornate surround of an orangic-looking window.

Good morning!

I just finished reading Wytches by Scott Snyder.

It wasn't just good: it was so fascinating that I'm gonna put on my literary critic pants and write something up about it.

Good morning, continuing my World Fantasy Novella challenge with Yoke of Stars by R. B. Lemberg. It’s a slow thoughtful read. Curious to see where it’s building too. Also still in Heartwood: A Mythago Wood Anthology and it’s gonna take a lot to beat it in the BFA anthology category.
