I know this is a toughie for republicans like Suarez and reactionary centrists like Harrell, but the difference between individual citizens wearing masks and agents of the state wearing masks is that citizens are not required to identify themselves but agents of the state are.

West Seattle bike commuters: The off-street trail on Marginal Way is finally open! It truly does make the ride safer and more comfortable, really appreciate all the people that made it happen. Still gotta plug your ears for train horns at Atlantic Street, though.

SDOT is officially opening the E Marginal Way bike lanes tomorrow - everything north of S Horton Street.

The street won't open to two-way vehicle traffic until next week, so enjoy this weekend.

Why the Port didn’t fix the ‘Path Narrows’ south of the removed Interbay trail bridge
When the Port of Seattle initially announced the Terminal 91 Trail bridge removal project back in 2023, they were also planning to widen the "Path Narrows" pinch point where the fences squeeze the trail just south of the old bridge. So when folks like Bob Svercl went to give the new trail a ride, they were surprised to find that while the bridge has been replaced with a smooth and wide trail, the 5-foot-wide pinch point is still there.

Police in Airdrie, Alberta (just north of Calgary) say this driver hit a 17-year-old girl in a marked crosswalk, got out of the vehicle, and appeared to get upset at the teenager before driving away.

They released this video and are now trying to identify the driver.
