Yes. Don't remember the details, but some guy got arrested.
He's going to build a giant, golden Führerbunker, isn't he?
This little item by Luke Broadwater on the abrupt, wholly unannounced destruction of a major component of the White House complex is a microcosm of the dysfunctional relationship the press has with this mendacious administration. www.nytimes.com/live/2025/10...
No tourists, unless they learn some songs and upload a voice note of one to get a ticket.
Don't want that coming back.
Looks more like she got glassed as a teenager. It's a look, I suppose.

I’m surprised the demolition looks so haphazard. Surely, the temptation for Trump to sell off Genuine White House Bricks to his MAGA souvenir collectors is too hard to resist. (They’d make the perfect display stand for their non-functioning Trump Watch.)

It's interesting how breaking stories on BBC News (radio) change in the morning. Today's* inflation number at 07:30 was 3%, a point down on predictions. By 08:30, it was 3%, a point higher than the BoE target. Not the first story reframed to look worse for the govt.

*This day, not the R4 show.
The worst part of this to me is that I can't even log in to my old account to delete it, due to some "security measures" they introduced. Not that anyone would pay for it.
Ugh, so now, if you want to hold on to your otherwise inactive Twitter account *specifically* because you don’t want someone else using your handle to post Nazi trash or crypto scams or impersonations or whatever, you have to log in at least monthly.

God, that company sucks so fuckin much.
Twitter really is Disinformation Ebola virus at this point.

New Reform MP and former Tory Danny Kruger says the police in England and Wales would lose ‘operational independence’ and be put under the control of any Reform government. This is how MAGA fascism creeps in.
The gentleman thief returning to the scene of the crime?
This photo accompanying a news story about the heist at the Louvre is perfection.

Meet the "Japanese snow fairy" (shima enaga), a subspecies of long-tailed tit native to Hokkaido.

It's no wonder Japanese anime characters look like they do, when actual Japanese wildlife looks like this:

I expect to be reposting this at least once more before Christmas.
Trump likes Putin and Russia. Trump wants to "get along" with Putin and with Russia. When under intense pressure, he makes vague threats about punishing Russia which he then ignores, or converts into diplomatic favours for Russia. None of this is likely to change.
Why are UK banks and HMRC running services out of AWS datacentres in United States East? What personal data are they storing/processing there?
Who robbed the Louvre? Right answers only.

The only good food in Saudi Arabia was Lebanese; but blood-soaked petrodollars can buy a lot of chefs without Jay's moral compass.
A while back I was approached by the govt of Saudi Arabia to write a restaurant guide to the country. Unlike various comedians, I did not want to take the money of a govt with one of the worst human rights records in the world. Michelin thought otherwise.

The only point of agreement I would have with the chairman of Betfred is that it's wrong for offshore betting to not be paying tax. Tax the shit out of them.
João Pedro had a great start to his Chelsea career, but that was working in tandem with Delap. Not been nearly the same threat as the lone striker. Adding Guiu has changed this game, but we really need Delap back.
