Hi, hello. I’m a designer in NYC. Trying to figure shit out. I’m probably wrong about everything.

If you believe that one must be paid to attend a protest, you have never been oppressed, nor cared about the oppression of others.

Rightwing people love to claim their rights are threatened under Dem admins, but they never have been.

This man is ignorant, naïve, shallow, and selfish.

The numbers I am seeing, and the breadth of people and places with basically no arrests and so forth, seem to me an unqualified political loss for them. It is a show of strength rather than the fight itself, but you can’t downplay it.

Think about the case that the republicans are going to have to make. They have spent weeks saying that today was going to be a hate America protest filled with foreign and domestic terrorists, we now know they numbered 7 million, and the federal government didn’t do a fucking thing.

notice the general mood of the timeline? how everyone is in a good mood and there’s a lot less misery and dooming? how there’s a lot of “we’re going to beat these assholes”?

anyway that’s why these events are important

this rocks. when indiana edu killed the student newspaper, Purdue stepped up, printed the forbidden issue, drove it to Bloomington and stocked the boxes.

Can confirm no trolling to be found on my feed. ❤️Blocklists❤️
The idea of paying protesters is very funny. Imagine someone paying a few dozen people to stand somewhere and then a hundred thousand people show up for free.
Despite being blocked by 60,000+ people (LOL), they’re still fully able to post and follow and commune with their fellow people. It’s so funny how obvious they make it that that’s not what they want. They’re online to show their full ass and Bluesky only allows them to show those asses to each other
I snorted, laughed, coughed, and nearly choked on my coffee at this
I’m embarrassed by how long it took me to realize this. Having Beyonce, Springsteen, or the National hype your candidate is cool, but it does practically nothing. You gotta stump on the cliches and platitudes. No way around it.

As you may have noticed, white supremacists want to stop the influx of hardworking young people (aka immigration) while somehow forcing white women to have lots more babies to compensate, but they refuse to make having kids more affordable and less arduous an experience.
RFK Jr: "When my uncle was president, the fertility rate in this country was 3.5%. Today it is 1.6%. The replacement rate -- in other words the amount of fertility you need to keep your population even -- is 2.1%. We are below replacement. That is a national security threat to our country."

Ah the only conservative argument: "My prejudices are timeless eternal truths and it's unfair that all of society isn't structured to reflect them." bsky.app/profile/whst...
Tbh I think we ought to re-masculinize society through the dispensation of brutal, merciless justice to the class of intellectual quislings who are trying to carry us back to the middle ages
Ironically, if there is truth to any of this, it’s likely attributable to Republican deregulation of important environmental and heath issues.
RFK Jr: "Today the average teenager in this country has 50% of the sperm count, 50% of the testosterone of a 65 year old man. Our girls are hitting puberty 6 years early ... our parents aren't having children."
Technocrats want everyone to think of college as just data being transferred from one hard drive brain into another. They’re deeply invested in that false framing because it gives them power.

Real knowledge is understanding why facts are facts and how one can perform the discovery of more.
I would love little more than to see the data which led to this decision
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Absolutely. The sense of community at protests like these is so palpable. Like, the kind of dopamine hits you get from hugs from loved ones.
Oh hey fellow Hoosier! Incredible game
