I have a theory that some portion of the mess we’re in today is due to weirdly designed homes slowly turning people insane like they’re at the Overlook Hotel. McMansions slow roasting people’s brains.

This is true. And it’s why I’ve swapped most of my time online this year with physical books. My life, as Katie says, has been richer.
The most precious commodity you have is your attention. You don’t have to waste it on poor-faith debates or arguments with strangers if you don’t think they’ll be productive. You can prioritize the things that matter to you and make your life richer.

Today I spent 6 hours on a plane for a flight which normally takes less than 2 hours. It was stupid and chaotic but worth it if it means the GOP eats shit for choosing this pain.
