Patches tank top. What are our thoughts

A tank top featuring several small drawings of my little dog comfort sona Patches alongside the text: I love vaccines, autism, abortions, queers, hormone replacement therapy, & crime!

This text is originally from a vintage punk button from the 70s and doesn’t belong to any particular person that is traceable. I changed a couple works, replacing “homosexuals” with “queers” and “sex changes” with”hormone replacement therapy.”

@flailmorpho.bsky.social and I painted pumpkins instead of carving them so babby could (sort of) participate. The footprints ghosts got smudgier than I'd have liked but overall I'm pretty happy with how it they turned out!

I enjoy this interpretation and I also think it's probably true that TKAM isn't the kind of book that Moms 4 Liberty target, making this an easy book for them to defend. It's part of the problem of highlighting the books of banned book fame, instead of the books that most are attacked NOW.

So for fun I put on completely empty glasses frames and suddenly the world got blurrier (vs no glasses) and my eyes started to hurt. I wonder if other bespectacled folk have this?

(I assume my brain got all funny since those frames were similar enough to mine it thought I should still good?)

It all dovetails very neatly with the "consumption as praxis," too. "If I like a thing, I must explain why it's actually good and woke" (supernatural, teen wolf, etc) And "if I dislike a thing i must find a moral reason, especially if it has the representation I claim to want" (steven universe, etc)

Yeah, i have my own issues with adobe (my company pays for it, which is why I use it), but I also know a lot of big youtubers DO use adobe products, and there's lots of other programs that use speach to text, so...

"But Ray" you may say "that's still autogenerated & AI!"

The difference is that this way, as I mentioned, you can edit it when it makes mistakes (it's bad w/ proper nouns). Also, transcription is a great thing to automate bc it's time-consuming & doesn't require decision making.

So TIL premiere can generate a transcript for you now, which you can edit word by word when it fucks up and turn that into captions.

Big youtubers really have no excuse for auto-generated subtitles now.
