Yeah, I remember Adam Conover brought that up in a vid that a lot of these convos would happen in social clubs like Lions, Moose Lodge, Great Elks, etc, but those groups at some point couldn't recruit younger generations and they just became boomer clubs.

I mean, a reporter thinks that because the X algorithm, which is programmed to be antisemitic and pro-fascist, didn’t promote a massive, nationwide protest against fascism, it therefore came from nowhere and has opaque motivations? It’s practically a thought-terminating cliché at this point.

Maybe this is an artifact of Elon's stewardship of this website, but the "No Kings" stuff — the language, the iconography, even the notion that Trump wants to be a *monarch* — is just totally foreign to me. I don't know where it comes from. Definitely not here.
