Canada is too feeble to have its own Covid inquiry but we know that the same reasoning applied in each of the provinces as 👇.

Clean the fucking air already. We will all be better for it.

UK Covid Inquiry (paraphrased)

We didn’t think too much about the “science” of health risks to children’s or making schools safer to protect them.. because “politics”- the government was worried about the economy & wanted the schools open
longcovidkids.bsky.social
Q- Was there any realisation on your part that this could have profound implications for children?

A - The whole government policy - was about maintaining both the economy and schools to be open. I do not believe that significant weight was attached to scientific advise.

eVeRy sInGle yEaR in mid oCtObEr: “increased indoor mixing”

… no, its not the people, its basic physics of colder weather, closed windows, & a build up of airborne pathogens

When disease is waterborne we fix the water supply, we don’t blame those drinking it!

England faces new COVID wave as NHS braces for winter strain
After 10 months of relative calm, COVID hospital admissions are rising sharply across England, driven by waning immunity and increased indoor mixing, official data show.

We only have Sobey owned stores in BC but I will check it out at one of them. All the brands that people identified in the r/BuyCanadian thread are not readily available where I live.

It is just weird that these sorts of things are imported from the US.

You forgot to add grifters to the list.

In the era when who knows what is real or not, I am 100% certain that this "grow another ear" video is very much real. Yikes.

You and I both know that most native born won't be able to pass this test.
yulnative.bsky.social
China may not want to but I hope the option is offered to them during negotiations.
yulnative.bsky.social
Does anyone in Canada know why all the commercial bread crumbs available in the stores are from the US? What's with that? I know there was the bread price fixing business but, seriously. Some of them don't even give country of origin anymore. 😡

Now I have to make my own which pissed me off.

Carole Cadwalladr was right and we’d be in a better world if more people had listened.

This tweet has been doing the rounds on Twitter now that Nathan Gill has pleaded guilty.

If only someone had tried to investigate UKIP & Russian interference 🧐

There’s another timeline where the Guardian supported me, doubled down on the investigation & I look 5 years younger ..

Imagine cleaning the air like we do the water. What a revolutionary idea. /s

I think it'd be wise to push for Canadian assembly of Chinese cars because I think the days of the Auto Pact will soon be over. I don't see buying Tesla is any better than buying Chinese.

It reminds me of the days when there were big tariffs on Japanese cars and now they build them here (and US).

A record 29% — nearly a third! — of all new cars purchased in California during July, August, and September were zero-emission vehicles.

DC may be fine with selling out American innovation to China, but California will keep charging ahead toward cleaner air for our communities.

Police are there to enforce the law, not to lobby for legislation of any kind - that’s the job of others: civilians, politicians, media, NGOs, etc.
Cops should stay in their lane.
The further we allow them to go in behaving like this arrogant union leader, the more 🇺🇸American we will become.

I learned first hand about American entitlement when I was a kid many, many years ago.

It is heartening that more Canadians are finally becoming aware of it because it has always been there, just not so exposed.

GenAI truly was the worst technology to come along at this moment.

An energy and water guzzler when we most urgently need to take climate action.

A disinformation machine as our journalism fails.

A bias machine as fascism takes root.

A job killer in a cost of living crisis.

We definitely will need protection from AI. I'm already sick of hearing about it.
djdynamic.ca
Fun fact, you can answer all of these questions by talking about how much you want the government to protect you *FROM* "AI" rather than how much you want them to fund it. Give it a try!
nicomaramckay.com
Canadians: The federal government is seeking public input on how AI should be developed and used in business, research, and the military.

If this scares the shit out of you, please let them know:

Gary Lineker: "This is the mistake the BBC makes. The BBC tries to appease the people that hate the BBC, rather than worrying about the people that love the BBC."
