I prefer it when ‘Traitors’ describes the TV program, not the people potentially electing the next government.
2024 Reform UK voters are also less likely to describe themselves as anti-Russia (48%) than other voters (66-79%)

Rick here is not wrong.
The @theguardian.com has fallen.
It's irrelevant ideological left-wing garbage, in the same way the Mail, Telegraph, Independent, Express is ideologically right-wing garbage, and irrelevant to vast swathes of the general public too.

The tabloid media is old news.

Shows how much Matthew Goodwin radicalised: much later than Brexit/Trump 2016

As late as 2021, Goodwin declares Jan 6th showed Trump was more of a "fascist" than a populist: (tries to overturn election)

In 2026, extols Trump second term. (Only those who believe 2020 election was stolen can serve)

I wrote for the Guardian about why Jim Ratcliffe's talk of Britain being "colonised" by immigrants crosses the line between legitimate debate and inflammatory rhetoric. It fuses echoes of Powellism with great replacement conspiracies of "civilisational erasure"

Forget Jim Ratcliffe’s half-apology: to speak of immigrants ‘colonising’ Britain is wrong and sinister | Sunder Katwala
He fused an echo of Enoch Powell with the spirit of the far right’s great replacement theory. This is no way to progress a humane migration debate, says Sunder Katwala, director of British Future

This has been an incredible spot on the @mrjamesob.bsky.social show this week with the excellent @henryriley1.bsky.social showing just a glimpse of what it would be like if the media gave Reform the same coverage (for negative stories, not just Farage puff pieces) as they did the left.

Nigel Farage claims "Look at net migration numbers. Oh, it isn't good that net migration is coming down".

"Do you know why? Its because there is an exodus: those of a situation + a financial position to be fortunate to have a choice"

A v misleading exaggeration/narrative of falling net migration
February 13, 2026 at 3:58 PM

Farage is clearly misleading the public.

The main reason that net migration fell by 445,000 (year to June 2025 it was 205k, having been 649k a year before) is that immigration fell by 401,000.

The BBC should fact-check/verify and report that this was untrue.
