I am extremely disappointed in Birds Connect Seattle. Preventing ecosystem-destroying sprawl by letting people move to our cities instead of exurbs is the best thing we can do for our vulnerable bird populations.

It’s stuff like this that makes me think about how important union and protest songs are. The kind of powerful energy you can get in a crowd of people all singing the same thing
brass solidarity band performing “stand by me” in the streets of whittier next to alex pretti’s memorial. the crowd started chanting “the people united will never be defeated” so they incorporated it into the song. i love minneapolis
