[email protected] “Head in the sand”? Please.

Part of the problem is limp news coverage that turns every Dem wobble into a five-alarm fire while treating GOP extremism as background noise. That’s what depresses our base.

Jamie Harrison’s head-in-the-sand posts are actually part of the problem. Enthusiasm for the Democratic Party is depressed.

It’s pathetic how much they will lift up and trust someone w/zero actual evidence (besides what they say) and give no support of women like Harris who has a long history of great advocacy in her actual work. Sanders, Mamdani, AOC… 🙄

Right? He’s not some savior. He hasn’t had to “govern” yet. NYC elected Adams and look how awful he was. These people are so unserious.

Zohran hasn’t even won an election yet and he hasn’t had to govern yet. Give me a break! You’ve got an unsophisticated understanding of politics. Jesus.

They’re just contrarians. They want a reason to be miserable. There will never be a solution that is acceptable.

And I can guarantee those Gaza folks haven’t given up ANY of their “luxuries” but are just mad that other people have the money (they earned) to do stuff.

A 13-year-old boy was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Everett after an interaction with members of the Everett Police Department and sent to a juvenile detention facility in Virginia, according to his mother and immigration lawyer Andrew Lattarulo.

The boy’s mother, Josiele Berto, was called to pick her son up from the Everett Police Department on Thursday, the day he was arrested. After waiting for about an hour and a half, she was told her son was taken by ICE, Berto told the Globe in a phone interview.

“My world collapsed,” Berto said in Portuguese.

From the police department, the boy was taken to ICE’s holding facility in Burlington on Thursday evening, where he spent a night before being transferred by car to the Northwestern Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Winchester, Va., on Friday morning, his mother said. The juvenile facility is more than 500 miles away from Everett.

The boy is a 7th-grader at Albert N. Parlin School in Everett, his mother said. The teen and his family, who are Brazilian nationals, have a pending asylum case and are authorized to work legally in the United States, Lattarulo said.

They have a theme/idea in mind, then use one tiny moment, phrase, word w/o context & use that to confirm not develop a belief. Same w/the Bible, movies, data, philosophy, music, etc. It’s an unsophisticated, superficial, uncritical analysis & why their thinking is unable/unwilling to expand.

Right? I love the one just hanging on the back.

I just remember fundraisers and alerts when they were first looking for them. It was absolutely tragic with every new piece of information.
21cpedagogy.bsky.social
It took them a while to find him and there were other murders after. So it wasn’t really in the news about him until much later.
21cpedagogy.bsky.social
Yeah. They were from one town over from me in a small community where I grew up. So it was all over the news when they were missing. But reading into that case and the Stayners is just so crazy.

I do that stuff all the time when putting things together.

Ahh. The groypers. I just thought they were the same icon.
21cpedagogy.bsky.social
Wait? There are two of them? I know one but not sure I know the other.

The disconnect so many people have and the hypocrisy of their belief systems—how the often contradict—is just astonishing.
