i think what gets overlooked is that part of the humor and charm of edits like these is that you're perfectly aware that someone sat down and spent their own time making it. they chose to do something cool or silly or stupid or genius, regardless of the results

that human element elevates the work
Who needs AI when we had stuff like this? I’ll take photoshop edits over the slop any day

As we enter the New Year remember fear of making bad art is holding you back. Fear of people not liking your work is holding you back. Rejection is holding you back

You'll make bad art, you'll have people not like your work, and you'll be rejected. Moving past it is half the job of being a creative

The actor Michael Sheen used all his money to start a fake debt collecting business, buy 900 people in Wales's debt, and excused it. If Musk bought ALL $194 billion in medical debt in the U.S. and excused it in the same way, he'd still be the world's riches man by hundreds of billions of dollars.

It's long past time to leave the Nazi bar, and you'll have a much better time here. I updated this guide due to the influx of users fleeing Grok's new AI bullshit. Share widely for all the newcomers!

Okay, artists. Twitter can now outright steal your work, and unsurprisingly, the ToS was updated to SPECIFICALLY allow for AI content theft.

Grok can remove watermarks. It can remove signatures.

You can no longer justify Twitter with "but my audience..."

They. Are. Stealing. Your. Work.

Is it weird I have a peeve of people using the excuse, "I was going through some stuff, sorry I treated you like that then"?

I've constantly gone through bullshit for ~92% of my existence and I'm pretty good at not turning the ire where it isn't warranted, or am accountable if I do.

so🤷‍♂️

The decision to degrade the national cultural center of the United States by sticking the presidential oaf’s name up there in front of Kennedy’s was unanimous - once dissenters had been silenced.
The White House claims the vote to rename the Kennedy Center was “unanimous.” That is false. I was muted on the call and denied the opportunity to speak or register my opposition. That is not consensus. That is censorship.

I said this 10 months ago, and I just want to reiterate it. You absolutely must boycott everything at the Kennedy center.

There are so many universities in the DMV that have amazing performing arts programs. Go support their programming instead!
Hate saying this but we must boycott everything/everyone at the Kennedy Center for the next 4 years (and any future after that which continues to exclude the queer people who have always defined US performing arts). I know the artists will be in a tough spot, but it's the only way to send a message

Terrible company!

I haven't used Facebook in 6 years. I haven't used Instagram in 5 years. I've never used WhatsApp.

I suggest everyone removes themselves from all Meta platforms. It's a small way we can disrupt the machine.

The murder of Charlie Kirk was criminal, wrong, and should be condemned.

And Charlie Kirk was a horrible, hateful man who spent his life radicalizing young people to embrace their worst demons by targeting women, people of color, immigrants, and the marginalized.

I refuse to sanitize him.

It is particularly galling that Trump is calling for the execution of people who actually served honorably in the military, while he took a bone spur exemption and famously boasted that his Vietnam was dodging syphilis in 70s New York.

Just a historically loathsome figure by any measure.
