When the 280mln DKK investment in a ship simulator is a footnote you know procurement is going fast.

Unga som börjat arbeta tidigt kan bli förlorare i den nya a-kassan. Detta när åldersgränsen höjs från 18 till 20 år.
– Många unga börjar sitt arbetsliv i vår bransch. Det är olyckligt att de stängs ute för att de arbetar, säger Hotell och restaurangs a-kassa.
Så kan unga bli förlorare med nya a-kassan: ”Olyckligt”

Selling the latest AMRAAM to Pakistan, who have a close defence cooperation with China is... Interesting.
It might be an attempt to balance the playing field against India's Meteor missiles, although Pakistan already has PL-15s on their Chinese fighters.

🔺Russian Baltic Surveillance activity 🧵

An unidentified Russian PVO Air Surveillance unit appears to be specifically reporting the operational departure of Swedish AF Korpen surveillance aircraft 102002 & 102003 from Malmen aerodrome. ⬇️

The Polish Territorial Defense Forces report that they are training mounted infantry.

It seems there will now be Polish cavalry as well.

FMV are saying q1 28 for first delivery, but they're probably referring to delivery from FMV to flygvapenet rather than delivery by Embraer to FMV.

Cool, some lucky Solomon islander just got a free boat. Hopefully this doesn't result in a cargo-cult.

Have you seen 3D animations from the IDF showing secret Hamas hideouts?

According to Israel's +972 magazine, many have "serious spatial inaccuracies or prefabricated assets—sourced not from classified intelligence but rather from commercial libraries, content creators, and cultural institutions."
How a Scottish maritime museum ended up in Israel’s 3D propaganda
An analysis of dozens of Israeli army animations discovered digital assets sourced not from classified intelligence but commercial libraries and content creators.

It also depends what target you're thinking about. 40mm + will make nice holes in a BTR or BMP but isn't much use against fortifications where weight of explosive matters. If you're going up against trench systems all that extra armour weight probably doesn't help either.
58deg.bsky.social
The other reason for 40mm was of course huge stocks of unused barrels and 40mm ammo.
58deg.bsky.social
Amusingly one of the reasons for using 40mm on the Strf9040 was that it could do most of the job of the Ikv91. 35mm sits in the sand boat of being able to penetrate russian IFVs at long range.
It would be ironic if CV90 operators start buying new Ikv type vehicles.

And an upgrade at Kangerlussuaq. If i remember rightly the old US Air Force infrastructure has been sold off to the kommun and the fuel depot to an oil company (BP?).
I wonder if Denmark will build its own fuel facilities or rely on (foreign owned) commercial fuel availability.
