Mark Bray wrote a great book about antifascism and its history. He’s now being targeted by right-wing provocateurs.

Solidarity with Mark Bray - it is absolutely shocking that threats and harassment against his family is forcing him to leave his country.

Excellent statement in support of Mark Bray, academic freedom, and implicitly antifascism.

This week, our colleague Dr. Mark Bray came under attack by Turning Point USA’s Rutgers chapter for his public scholarship. Rutgers AAUP-AFT and the Rutgers Adjunct Faculty Union condemn this campaign and stand in solidarity with our colleagues. Read our full statement here: https://loom.ly/BDXasRY

So grateful to @sonjatiernan.bsky.social & editors of #Saothar50 for opportunity to write on Irish housewives. By mad coincidence my ma was interviewed about her everyday experiences in 1968 & that features in my new article. #familyhistory #femaleactivism

I'd no idea that random Irish-MAGA chancer in Indonesia was posting mad stuff about Micheál Martin and Jim Gavin on X until the Irish Times and Independent helpfully signal-boosted him with stories on their homepages.

I finally transferred to ad-free version of Wordpress, so that people had easier to my site, especially my list of radical online collections & archives (nearly 1000 collections listed).

It'd be great if people clicked on the link to see if it is all working!

Maria Steen starting her campaign by claiming immigrants do not share "our" social or culture values all the more amazing in the context of her exposing an extreme and doctrinaire version of Christianity that is not even shared by most of her fellow Christians in Ireland.

There's a REALLY quick and easy survey for the public consultation on the Basic Income for the Arts scheme - it only takes a few seconds, anyone can fill it in, and it could make a huge difference to arts workers in Ireland. Take a few ticks to places a few ticks here: ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/run...
Screenshot of the first two questions in the survey - there's only six to answer.

Ireland has had "sELf iD" for 10 years now and not one single issue that the media, government and anti-trans movement predicted has come to pass. Not one.

If it works in Ireland why would it not work here? No one who opposes it can give a good answer, because the real answer is transphobia

Ten years ago, on this day 15 July, the Irish Oireachtas passed the Gender Recognition Act 2015 (An tAcht um Inscne a Aithint, 2015).
It was a piece of legislation that allowed me to live my life authentically & I'm forever grateful.
Despite what others may have you believe, the sky did not fall in.
