Is there like a built-in AI subtitles plugin in DaVinci Resolve or something? Been seeing a lot of YouTubers of all sizes using dogshit inaccurate subtitles with slick professional-looking animations.

![Not so for the admins. Reddit, the company, is not concerned with authenticity, despite what any of their spokespeople would claim. As a corporate asset, reddit.com is tuned to bring in a profit. The site makes money from ads and awards, and both of those things require the userbase to provide all the links and comments and to generate discussion. But here's the catch: none of that profit scheme requires authenticity. It only requires activity and interaction.
In this system, repost bots are incredibly valuable! As long as there's no blowback over it, the awards and page views spurred by bot posting translate directly to money. Reddit needs to fight spam - the annoying kind that threatens to drive people away by turning the front page into a crypto and OnlyFans shill cesspool - but they don't need to fight artifice. They have every reason to love it. And I'd even go as far as to suggest that if they can look the other way for bots farming cute animal posts, they'll do it for propaganda and other manipulation too. Whatever makes profit go up is good, and whatever threatens it is bad. The Anti-Evil Operations team can't change that basic fact of corporate amorality.
What I've learned from looking into [account name] makes me more certain than ever that, without a serious change of heart at the admin level, reddit is a lost cause. A tasty example: selfie inside car while wearing sunglasses and not smiling. (You know the ones. Bonus points for MAGA hat.) That's a person who's avoided introspection so long and wallowed in bitterness so deeply that their hostile facade is the only self-image they have left.
Small blessing: on the internet there is no way to try to look badass without looking cringe instead. Roman statue pfp, "pithy" saying in bio, skull art, muscle selfie, gun, lifted truck - doesn't matter what you do, you're immediately clocked as a tryhard loser. I unironically love that for us.

Watching a streamer play a game with lore is so infuriating. Characters will be on screen dropping vital clues while the person is looking at a totally different monitor going "oh my god thank you ParaSocial69 for the 12 months resub!!" and then acting totally confused later on when plot happens.

When the post-9/11 clownery happened, I was young and stupid and thought "surely we have solid leaders and wouldn't be The Bad Guys in something as serious as a war". I cheered the troops and believed official media statements.
I'm still stupid, but I won't make those mistakes again.
