i love defunctland but this new video is, to me, pretty flabby and boring! the pacing doesn't seem right and it's not holding my attention. not a lot of stuff is four hours long, maybe this didn't have to be either? same vibes to me as netflix turning one hour into a four episode "docuseries"

i recently read "the black hunger" by nicholas pullen, a queer, gothic vampire story where the main character begins, in the usual way, by saying he ruined his own life and happiness and regrets everything. that book slaps.

definitely if you're the femme spouse who does most or all of the cooking . . . please cook what you want. do something fiddly that you enjoy instead of feeling stressed out the whole time. make a regular meal but with a special dessert or something. or just order buffalo chicken pizza.

i started "the great santini" by pat conroy and it's really good. it's resonating a lot. the story is about baby boomer children of silent generation parents, but . . . if you're a child of baby boomers, you may see a lot that you understand or that helps YOU understand better
