I'unno if it's just me, but when you have a snoring dog on the couch next to you, it functions as a soporific and you start feeling reeeeeally sleepy.
(In my case with the weird sleep cycle and energy deficit, she has on occasion actually put me to sleep. Probably blame mirror neurons ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)

To get back to lighter posting, I had a fun, silly version of this in Signal State where they basically introduced the Sequencer or some other specialty chip a few puzzles earlier, made you use it a few times, then give you a puzzle that *looks* like it could be sequenced...
There is a cool cognitive bias called the Einstellung effect. Basically: if you solve several problems the same way, the next problem you encounter you will try to solve the same way.

What's the most ridiculous way you ever hurt yourself? I got out of the tub, skidded in water and tripped over the toilet. Ankle sprain.
