it's only a postdoc if it's from the postdocque region of France. otherwise, it's just sparkling precarity.
I know BlueSky has problems with humour so just to be clear: I, like everyone else, am aware that postdocs aren't real. I'm not spreading misinformation when I refer to them as if they exist, they're jokes and everyone knows that. Chill, ok?

Just read a footnote in a (great!) paper that apologized for using a "pop culture reference" (to Tywin Lannister from ASoIaF/Game of Thrones).
